We were in Firenze for the Pitti Uomo at Fortezza Basso and the hotel was a 10 minute walk. There isn't a lot surrounding though we found a great... restaurant - Conte Mascietti - nearby. If we had had any time to see Firenze, we would have preferred to be more central but as it was we worked 100% of the time. The hotel was perfect for this, also with a tram 50m away. Location.
The modern Starhotels Michelangelo is located in Florence, Italy, opposite Cascine Park and within steps of the River Arno. The hotel is one kilometre from city centre attractions like the Duomo cathedral and Uffizi art gallery. Santa Maria Novella is the nearest station and Florence Vespucci Airport (FLR) is 10 kilometres away.

Hotel Features.
Renovated in 2010, Starhotels Michelangelo is a purpose-built hotel with mirrored windows. The lobby features red-and-yellow leather armchairs and prints of paintings from the Uffizi gallery.

Il David restaurant serves Tuscan cuisine and international dishes. The wood-floored restaurant looks out onto a display of Tuscan pottery. Bar degli Artisti serves alcoholic drinks and coffees, with live piano music. A complimentary buffet breakfast is served.

There are six meeting and conference rooms at the Starhotels Michelangelo, with capacity for up to 230 people. The hotel has a business centre and offers complimentary wireless Internet access in public areas.

This was a very nice Hotel, they gave a V. good breakfast good for Pure Vegetarians like us. We changed our room from twin occupancy to triple occupancy for our friend and they did it immediately and charged reasonablly for it. The Location is a bit out from the main tourist attractions, but the metro bus picks and drops you in front of the hotel. this […] is a good Budget hotel, with high comfort. though this hotel is a little old, but nicely maintained. The staff was very co-operative, they assisted us for all our queries. we stayed in Ibis hotel in our further travel to rome and paris, they were worst hotel in compared to this hotel. Read more
