"Not enough to say good."

"Disappointing"
Hotel was being renovated. Initially lobby in transition with no flooring, then closed completely and entry diverted. Very large group of college-age students "living" in hotel for 2wks made for dormitory feel and slow elevators. Paid for in and out parking per night and later found gate up all the time. Should we really have had to pay? Stayed here […] as a break from a string of roadside hotels. Turns out they were nicer and included a free frig, internet and parking and were better maintained. "Hoping for better"
While the hotel was impeccably decorated, the staff was not very welcoming or friendly. They were efficient but not friendly. The room was lovely but extremely humid. So much so that the bedding felt damp. The pillows were, at first glance, very luxurious, but so fluffy that I felt a bit suffocated when I laid my head down. In addition, this hotel is […] in the suburbs of Boston, not downtown Boston. Therefore, I was extremely surprised to find that I would be charged a nightly parking fee. I have only ever had to pay for parking in very urban areas. Also, the restaurant did not offer any sort of complimentary breakfast. Finally, of all of the hotels that we stayed at during this trip, this particular hotel was the only one that charged for wireless service. Even less expensive places offered us free wi-fi. "Nice hotel. Too pricey."
The room was nice, but you pay for everything. Service was mediocre, I was acknowledged by staff 1 time when I checked in, never so much as a hello in passing. Parking is $10 per day. "Extremely uncomfortable"
When we slept the first night, we had trouble with the A/C situation and slept horridly. The second night, we figured out the A/C situation by needing to remove the couch from in front of it. But we then also realized that the bed was completely uncomfortable, so we opted to sleep on the floor instead. The cleaned sheets contained colored marks on them […] that made me question their attention to detail. This Sheraton does not provide free parking, but instead requires a per-night fee, and parking in the surrounding area is not really an option due to the topology -- everything is basically a hike. If you park in the parking garage and have to go down stairs to get back to your car, watch your step. There's a lawsuit waiting to happen there, or a life waiting to be lost. Lastly, the entire hotel industry needs to update its television media offerings. Having 42" HD televisions and low definition programming is a complete waste and actually detracts from the experience. A few good points: good service and hospitality, with very friendly staff. This hotel had the worst mattress we have ever had in any hotel. The pillows were beyond cheap. Big, heaping, and so bouncy that they bounced the head right up and gave us a formidable kink in the neck. Had to sleep with a couple of bath towels under my head. "Remodel in progress....give it a second chance"
Normally I am sympathetic in terms of a remodel as finished product usually turns out for good but jury is out in this case. Internet port down in my room/construction workers pounding in adjoining room and just overall dust pile throughout reduced air quality to a minimum. Come winter adn spring watch out for ice from 600 foot broadcast tower above […] as ice chunks have been known to kill as the hotel/office complex sits on a hill in a broadcast farm so be very careful. "Sheraton Needham Hotel"
We didn't have hot water for 2 mornings; it finally was fixed shortly after 8AM the second morning. The internet access in the rooms was wired only (and with a surcharge), but it did not work in one of our rooms (our family had 3 rooms) and although we reported the problem the first morning, the hotel failed to repair it during the entire stay of 3 […] nights. We had 1 car, but were charged for parking it on all 3 rooms' accounts. The hotel corrected the charges on the parking to bill us only once, when this was brought to their attention. We received no notice or any information regarding the lack of, or repair of, the hot water or the internet connection. On a positive note, the beds were very comfortable. "Surprisingly dissapointing"
This property is very run down, and the desk staff is quick to acknowledge this: I had booked a "standard queen" but the reservation came out as a double queen, according to the front desk staff: The gentleman did say he could accomodate the king bed request with a Handicap accesible room, which we agreed to; but when we got there the room was oversized, […] sparsely furnished and dirty/ beat-up in appearance (such as the capret). The biggest issue however was overall maintenance -particularly the Elevators:there are two guest elevators; both were working when we arrived: when we came back from an evening function the one on the right (lobby view) was out of service, with the door open and a trash receptacle placed in front it; The next morning it was still out of service and the remaining elevator was showing signs of malfunctioning as well doors would open at floors that were not pressed and then would not accept the command to close the doors until the button was pressed several times. -Very dissapointing for a Sheraton property. "This is the worst Sheraton that i have ever stay."
We have requested far away from all the noises, when we checked in we had to wait 3 hours then the front desk gave us 1st floor, so we asked to be on a higher floor then she gave us a room next to the work out room, then the 3rd time she gave us the room that everyone has to walk by to get to the pool and a work out room. On the plus side -- good rate, they did not charge me the $9/day parking rate. Convenient location -- easy in and out of Boston, and a short drive to a Needham center shops and restaurants. Negatives: Hotel was run down, outdated and in need of significant upgrades. Room was tight. Could not get a rollaway cot because room was too small and would have […] violated fire codes. I travel for a living and I am in hotels almost weekly. This hotel is substandard at best. Wallpaper is peeling off bathrooms, Caulk everyone, no attempt to be neat. The room smelled damp and the walls looked damaged. The parking is 4 minutes away which is not convenient in the rain. Also, NO Courtesy Store on main lobby, emptied out.
