"Nice staff, location and price"
Very good hotel with friendly staff. Nice relaxing walk from hotel to town over Milennium Bridge. Didn't try food, but bar is nicely laid out and relaxing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"very nice hotel"
this little hotel was perfect for our needs. to begin, the staff was very friendly, and we felt comfortable immediately. upon walking into the room, it smelled very nice, and was very clean, including the bathroom. the bathroom was modern and lovely, although i noticed that the shower created a bit of a wet mess when used. i believe it's just the design […] of these types of showers because we stayed at several other hotels throughout the uk during our vacation, and all had similar problems. the room had laminate floors, which i heavily prefer over carpet due to cleanliness, so this was a bonus. the bed was very comfortable ; i believe it was a queen. although the room was small, it wasn't too small and it fit my needs perfectly. the view from the window could have been much better, but as a view was not a requirement for me for this hotel, i didn't place any importance on this. the hotel's restaurant wasn't the best in regards to food, but again, the service was excellent. this hotel can boast of its staff ! so friendly, so helpful as well as kind. the hotel also offered complimentary wifi all throughout the building that even spilled a little to the outside, all of which was very very useful. overall we were so delighted to stay at this little hotel. we stayed at various hotels during our vacation, all 4 star hotels, but found this one to be a little gem and had a very pleasurable stay. "Excellent value and room"
Stayed overnight for business. The room was excellent with size and deco. Service was excellent as well as well as the catering service staff, very friendly and helpful. The location was nice, quiet and convenient to city centre. The only problem is it's not recognised easily by gps thus it took me quite a while to find it during dark night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect for what I wanted"
I stayed here simply because my son lives a couple of minutes walk away and it was cheaper than the even nearer Jurys Inn. I was on my own, had a very quiet king size room, bed was comfy and room was clean with a iatnt view of the 'blibnking bridge' across the car park. I didn't use any of the restaurants so cannot comment on them, but overall for me […] the hotel, while a bit souless was ideal for what I wanted and a very reasonable price. I enjoyed my stay, it was a good location being a few minute walk from the quayside. There was a lot of noise early hours of the morning but I stayed on a Friday and Saturday night on a bank holiday weekend, and you'd expect that anywhere in Newcastle being the party town it is. The hotel itself was ideal for a getaway. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. […] My only criticism would be that whenever a neighbouring rooms door went, it felt like someone was coming into our room. The doors were far too flimsy. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel right next to the Millennium Bridge"
Everything was fine with the hotel. We struggled to get hot water out of the sink in the bathroom, but other than that, everything was fine. Nice location right next to the Millennium Bridge and the Sage.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place, we'll be back!"
Been here a few times now, great location, minutes away from the Quayside. Recommended!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location, efficient hotel"
The Ramada-Encore is on the Gateshead side of the river, but is no more than ten minutes stroll from the Newcastle Quayside, and maybe another ten to the city centre (retail, Sy. James' park etc). Hotel is modern, efficient, breakfast is good with a decent range of options. You may well get the obligatory hen and stag parties at the weekend, but I think […] most city centre hotels in this category will. Overall, I'd definitely use the Ramada-Encore again. "Good hotel"
A new hotel on the Gateshead side of the river. The rooms are comfortable enough and the place is clean, with friendly and helpful staff. The Newcastle quayside is a five minute walk over the millennium Bridge. Free internet means the only drawback is the £5 per night car park charge.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Location £5 to Parking!!!!"
New Hotel clean and comfortable, but no need to charge £5 for parking!!!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good Clean Hotel near centre of town"
Have been staying at the Ramada Gateshead every week for the past 4 months. Overall very clean and well presented. Close to the town centre and Quayside. Rooms are of a good size and welcoming. Free WIFI. Only downside is the very weak shower in all the rooms and levels I have stayed in.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good stay"
Clean, good location for the price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Would stay again"
The hotel reception staff were very pleasant. Food and beverages a little over-priced for the quality. Wet room/shower room flooded into the main bathroom area when in use. However, this is a reasonably priced hotel, particularly for a short stay. Overall presentation of hotel was excellent.Genuine Expedia guest review

"great location and massive bed!"
Great hotel in excellent location. I have marked down 1 point due to having to pay for car parking. The rooms are a good size with a nice hot shower and very large bed!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good value for money"
This was a lovely hotel. However, I upgraded to a king size bed but this was simply two beds pushed together and didn't stay together! The bed was extremely comfortable and very spacious. Staff were attentive, efficient and friendly. It is quite a walk to the town centre but it is a lovely walk. Very clean and tidy hotel. Lovely hot shower. Would stay […] again. "good access from motorway"
overall quite pleasantGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great North Run"
The hotel (once I found it) was ideally situated for the GNR's pasta party and for access to the town centre. Signs for the hotel are unclear though and I actually drove into and out of the car park before I realised where I was. My one criticism was that breakfast wasn't included in the price. As I was running the GNR the following day I didn't want […] the full breakfast, just porridge but I was still charged £8.95 anyway. Apart from that it was a nice, clean modern hotel, central and not too expensive. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"excellent city centre location"
ideal for business and leasure trips. Hotel was comfortable and fresh. Would deffinately stay here againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall very good but I was disappointed to find I had to pay extra for parking and this wasn't made clear before I booked. Also I appreciate it is a budget hotel but no carpets gave it a clinical feel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent hotel close to the city centre"
The hotel is situated about a 5 minute walk from the millennium bridge and 10 minutes from the city center, As the hotel is only new the room was very clean as is the wet room, all the hotel staff well very welcoming and helpful..... would 100% stay again if going back down for another night out in newcastle :)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
the hotel is brand new and as such con be little failed on its amenities or presentation. There is a hidden extra with a £5.00 car parking charge added to the room rate. Overall a pleasant stay and the staff , particularly reception staff were very pleasant and helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to everything, perfect for a stag do"
Perfect for the great north 10k and a stag do. £5 taxi to town.. Bit pricey hotel but worth the stay.. 2 jagerbombs promotion in the bar is perfect. Not good for a quiet getawayGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good hotel for Quayside activities"
Contemporary, clean, comfortable, perfectly situated for Sage, Baltic and Quayside. Parking no problem at £5 a night. Quiet even though several hen and stag parties stayingGenuine Expedia guest review
"Clean, modern, professional."
Has all the basics well delivered. Only issue was poor water pressure, at least on the fourth floor, so the excellent looking bathroom was a let down. Over all would recommend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to Quayside for a night out"
New hotel, therefore very clean and fresh. But room was a bit stuffy. Did get our car parking charge waived, as we were parked on rough ground. Breakfast was good with plenty to choose from. Staff very friendly and helpfulGenuine Hotels.com guest review
