The hotel is defintitely the nicest hotel in Cusco. The service and food is 5-Star for sure. The rooms are beautifully decorated. My only complaint was... the high price I paid for a small room and not so comfortable bed. It was also near a busy street where all morning long I was woken up by delivery trucks sounding off their reverse gear beeps. I would not stay here again. by a Hotels.com guest on 11/11/12

I stayed here because of the amazing reviews. I knew the price was very high going in but I also expected a room to match the price and I was very disappointed. The room was tiny. The room on the second night was bigger but the delivery trucks on the street next door woke me up several times in the morning. It is worth every penny! The service is spectacular, the hotel beautiful, the rooms huge and with all the amenities you need. It is located two blocks away from the main plaza. I will be back for sure!!!

Hotels.Com and Expedia offered the best rates over the Monasterio's own site. When I contacted the Monasterio (website) rep to obtain consideration on the (2) previous nights booked on the hotel site the rep informed me that they do not match other sites. Overall, a historic hotel with up and coming hotels giving the Monasterio competition.
