Hotel Vis

It's a good hotel, with good breakfast, good location right at the sea, and the staff are very good. But since there's no limit to perfection, I gave fours everywhere, to leave some room for imoprovement.

It's an OK place with pretty scenery , but for the money, one can get a better value.Beach is unaccessable to us...Very rocky,difficult to navigate not white sand. Bus to Old Town a plus. The hotel charged a supplement to sell the bus tickets to guests.The breakfast was sucky, with little quality. The lobby was bland and had a cold feel to it. Better […] artwork could be on the walls and their music selection was a waste...It should be Croation flavor. Lastly, the bar cocktails were poorly produced. Bathroom supplies and soaps were cheap...Cocktails were poured from tiny 1/2 ounce shot glass.One needs to be there for a week to get a buzz!!!!!....(or a small fortune).....Overall, other choices should be considrered....I think the owner of this place throws around a one Kuna coin as if it was a man-hole cover.The place is cheap to the guests. This is a pretty good hotel. The staff was helpful and the room was clean and pretty good size. The public bus stops right in front of the hotel and is a 15 minute ride to the old town.

We picked the hotel after they advertised they have free parking. When we got into the hotel , there was no available parking and when we wanted assistance from one of the hotel staff - the man was very rude and not nice and did not help us at all and nearly kicked us our of the hotel. This hotel is a three-star in a five-star location, with its own beach. Generally the hotel, corridors and rooms are tidy, but getting to the condition where they look like they could benefit from a renovation in the next few years. There were no lifts but that didn't matter to us. The hotel was right by the bus stops to and from the old city (route […] 4) 10 to 15 minutes away. Breakfast was fine but we didn't dine in the evening so can't comment. The hotel's beach was only spoiled by the constant noise of construction sites across the bay and the inconsiderate sailor who moored his yacht in the middle of the bay blaring out music. We stayed in Hotel Vis in late September, early October 2012. The hotel is in a great location in a delightful bay. The beach is very pebbly but the water is wonderful. The rooms are fine, with reasonably storage for clothes. A room with a sea view is probably worth the extra. Staff are friendly and for the most part speak very good English. Buffet […] dinner is average and what one might expect. Breakfast is ok but nothing special. The restaurant and bar terraces are very pleasant. You can buy bus tickets at reception for the frequent (every 15 to 20 minutes) bus service to the old town (10 to 15 minutes). The bus stop is only a couple of minutes from the hotel. We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The location is very good and the steak in the hotel restaurant is excellent although the breakfast is a bit boring and basic. Room was very small and our balcony was tiny and looked out onto the hotel driveway instead of the beach which was disappointing. We decided to use the laundry service to get a suit pressed […] (because the hotel does not have an iron) and unfortunately it took us two days to get the suit sent to the laundry and when it came back a member of the hotel staff tried to charge us treble the price that was on the laundry pricelist in the room! Location is great, hotel is a little stale and has the laziest barman in, at least, Europe. Luckily the Old Town bus leaves from outside the hotel so alternatives to the hotel restaurant are only 15 minutes away (or a 10 minute walk in Uvala).

The hotel was easy to find and has a good private beach although I believe it can be accessed by the public and it gets extremely crowded. This hotel is very old and has not been renovated. The rooms are dingy and old. They do service and clean the rooms on a daily basis but this hotel is really in need of some renovations. It is really outdated...old tv's that barely work, old and uncomfortable mattresses, random holes in walls from various hook-ups and plumbing? and you can tell that some of the rooms have had issues with mould. Also, some rooms have balconies with no screens so you cannot leave your balcony open at night if you are on the main floor. In general, Dubrovnik is extremely expensive. It is worth it to take a day or two to visit the old town but beaches are better in Makarska and the hotels are not as expensive. Read more

very welcoming and helpful hotel staff from the reception staff to the restaurant staff and the cleaning staff. Hotel well situated with own beach and beautiful views. no swimming pool. Good buffet breakfast. Easy to catch bus into old city of Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik was amazing, loved every minute, just a fantastic place to chill. It was very hot ( mid July) , sunny everyday. Everywhere was very clean, the food was brilliant , no complaints at any restaurant or bistro/bar that we went to, always an abundance of fresh fish and seafood. It certainly isnt your full english, sky TV and tetley bitter sort […] of a place, ( which was great for us!!). The Hotel VIs was good, it was comparable with a decent travel lodge standard, clean, tidy and basic. Staff were always very friendly and helpful. Travelling around, we used the bus - particularily to go into the old city which was 15 mins away and it cost about £1, the bus picked you up right literally right outside the hotal Vis and buses ran every 20 mins. You could walk straight out of the back of the hotel on to the beach and stunning views of the bay - that was lovely, particularily having breakfast in the hotel looking out over that view. breakfast itself was the only disapointment, basic and limited but eatable. Would i stay there again?? yes i would - it was cheap and cheerful, clean and tidy. but who spends all their time in the hotel anyway?? bit sad if you do!! I would recommend dubronik to anyone - its a beautiful amazing place - just the place to chill out. cant wait to go back!!!!!! Definately recommend the island boat trips (full day) brill day out!!!! The bus trips to Mostar I wouldnt do again it was a very long coach trip (about 3 hours each way) for just 2 hours at Mostar. Read more

Just got back from a week at the Vis Hotel. I would definitely return. It is a 3* and not a 4* ,and the price we pay is accordingly. The staff did their best with their limited english, the lady at the reception extremely welcoming and with good english. The views are lovely and I enjoyed the beach (don't forget to take beach sandals as it is all pebbles) […] The breakfast was very good but I did not have dinner - the buffet display did not look inviting at all and there was nothing left by 8.30pm -shld be able to eat until 9pm. I ate in the old town well worth it (£ 12 for a main course-excellent fish & well prepared) . Sometimes had just the hearty soup at the hotel (£3). Bus to Dubrovnik just outside the hotel - evey 15min - tickets from reception approx £ 1 one war. I hope to be able to go back in Oct. Hotel is like home from home.O I forgot brand new bathrooms. topp hotell med tanke på pris / lokasjon / tilgang til strand / resturanter osv.. hotellet er gammelt og slitt. men det er rent, frokosten helt ok. vi gikk ofte ut til enden av stranden og spiste frokost på en av dem mange resturantene som lå her.. utrolig billig å spise ute. stranden er rett utenfor hotellet. ett av dem få stedene her stranden ligger […] så nærme. vi liker å gå, så vi gikk noen ganger inn til gamlebyen - men anbefaler buss. buss stopper på utsiden av hotellet og kjører deg rett inn. enkelt selv for dem som ikke er vant til kollektivtrafikk. dem selger buss billetter i resepsjonen. jeg anbefaler hotellet pga lokasjon til stranden og resturantene rundt og pga billig pris. ikke pga kvaliteten på hotellet. jeg reiser gjerne tilbake her! ８月に２泊しました。ちょっと高かったけど海側の部屋を指定して正解でした。ベランダも広く、ゆったりすごせました。ホテル前のビーチもとてもキレイです。リゾートとして過ごすにはビーチフロントで最高ですが、街中に出るにはバスが必要です。

Bäst var läget med stranden precis nedanför. Hotellets restauranger ligger på två terasser med underbara utsiktler. Bra läge med varierande bad längs hela viken. Enkelt att ta buss till gamla stan. Området har mycket restauranger och små "turistbutiker". Personalen är tillmötesgående.

Nos dieron una habitacion pesima con vistas pesimas aun habiendo hecho una reserva de una habitacion con vistas al mar mucho mas cara,al dia siguiente nos cambiaron a una mucho mejor y nos compensaron el error con una cena gratuita en el hotel.El establecimiento podria mejorarse pero si es verdad que la atencion y las vistas merecen la pena.

空港から長距離バスターミナルへバスへ行って、その後路線バスでも行けますが、乗り換えをしないといけないので、荷物も重かったので、タクシーで行きました。タクシーで５～１０分くらいで、１０ユーロくらいでした。ちなみに、ホテルのまん前にバスが停まります。 プライベートビーチも持っていて、宿泊した部屋も運よくオーシャンビューで景色は文句なしです！朝食の会場も海を間近で感じれるロケーションです。 きれいな海とオレンジ色の屋根＆白い壁の家々が見れるロケーションです。 フロントのみなさんも、とても丁寧で対応もとても良いです。 部屋もきれいでした。ただ、部屋に冷蔵庫がなかったのが、残念です。 しかし、とてもこのホテルは気に入りました。またドブルブニクへ行くのなら、利用したいです。

Keskinkertainen hotelli eli tavikselle ihan OK paikka ja palvelu asiallista. Ilmainen Wifi hotellin aulassa. Aamupalalla pärjää hyvän matkaa päivää, rannan puolella iso terassiravintola. Prisvärt hotell, utmärkt läge alldeles intill stenstranden. Rent, lugnt och tyst, vänlig personal. Promenadavstånd till många serveringar, småaffärer och mataffär. Lokalbuss stannar utanför hotellet.Bufféfrukosten är riktlig, och och både matsal och terass liger vackert med utsikt mot havet. Litt eldre hotell, med oppussede rom. Rent og pent, båd på rom, eller og uteområdet. Glimrende service, nydelig beliggenhet, men sørg for å få rom ut mot havet. Sånn passe frokost, men helt greit, særlig prisen tatt i betraktning.
