The original walled Old Town of Alcúdia is well worth a visit for its reconstructed medieval streets and Roman remains. By contrast the resort area is thoroughly modern with high-rise hotels and tourist shops around the bay. The beach is one of Mallorca’s biggest (15 kilometres) and best, with various water sports on offer. To escape the crowds visit the adjacent S’Albufera nature reserve.

"Delikat frokost"
Vi har hatt elleve herlige dager på Las Gaviotas. Hotellet fremstår som mer lukseriøst enn hva prisen skulle tilsi. Spesielt fornøyd er vi med frokosten som var både delikat og innholdsrik. Vi drakk musserende vin, spiste fersk frukt og koste oss med god mat hver dag. De som jobber på hotellet er meget vennlige, renholdet er upåklagelig og det er rolige […] omgivelser. Det store bassenget er spesielt attraktivt for barn i alle aldre. Det er også veldig kort vei til den fine stranda. Og så stopper bussen fra Palma rett utenfor hotellinngangen!
