The rooms were very small with very little space to move around the bed. The lift so slow we decided to use the stairs only... It was my 1st and last time in a Best Western!

Parking expensive in public lot Make sure you ask which side to park on close to hotel and print out directions if driving. Lot is huge underground and would help to exit onto close street especially with luggage.

There could be confusion with the location of the hotel for the next day we discovered the Best Western had 2 locations 1/2 block apart. You could register for either one. We had requested an early arrival since coming directly from USA and wanted access to the room for a nap. There were no rooms available - they never checked or at least told us about […] their sister place 1/2 block away. We couldn't get into the room until 1:30 and we were really dragging having been up 24 hours straight. I also didn't remember, plus they didn't tell me, that breakfast was NOT included in our reservation. We had their breakfast only to discover that we owed 32 Euro ($40) for that simple breakfast!!!! So do make sure of the inclusion of breakfast for it is VERY EXPENSIVE. A cafe is just down the street where you could have a very inexpensive breakfast. Read more

A bit difficult to get to by car but right in the heart of the old town just by the Grand Theatre. Extremely central for all the main attractions, tram stops and restaurants bars and shops. Having said this, it is down a side alleyway so it is quiet at night.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable with free WIFI included. The location of this hotel was amazing. We were on the better end of Rue St Catherine so were able to pop back to the hotel and drop off the shopping before starting again. Airport and tour buses stopped near the hotel; its location could not have been better. The staff were helpful and our room was cleaned immaculately. We found a modern small shopping […] centre a couple of blocks past the Notre Dame where you could buy groceries. Although a little noise came from the occasional door closing or an upstairs neighbour walking around their apartment, the most noise came from outside the hotel. The back of the Regent Hotel was on the other side of the single, cobble stoned lane which separated that hotel from ours so delivery trucks, garbage trucks, tourists with their wheeled luggage would wake us some mornings. So if you are looking for a hotel that lets you sleep in, this one is not for you. But, all in all, we always had a good night sleep. The light breakfast of croissant and percolated coffee was over priced and not value for money. There was a great little take away coffee shop diagonally opposite the Regent which sold expresso, croissant and fresh orange juice for a third of the price. We did not try the buffet continental breakfast at 14E. There were plenty of restaurants that had lunch and dinner three course meals for around that price so I would have been surprised if this was a winner with guests. This hotel was great. After figuring out that the name of the hotel is wrong on Expedia the staff at the real Best Western Grand hotel directed us to the correct hotel and location. The hotel is centrally located about a block from the opera and the main shopping street. About 5 minutes walk will get you to the metro, tourist office and some great restaurants […] and brasseries. If you like a firm bed this would be good for you. The bathroom was nice and clean. A warning that the towels were not changed daily. The mini bar was fully stocked and with very reasonable prices. Even the pants press on the wall work. Been a while since selling one of those in a hotel room. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
