This is a nice place to stay on our family vacation. We paid $64 a night, but it's worth it. The area looks safe and clean. It's conveniently close to the freeway and surrounded by many businesses. The room was clean, but you can tell it has aged. The outside was well maintained. Staff were friendly. The hotel could be really nice but it needs a complete overhaul!The pool area and the grounds are beautiful but the rooms are outdated and dirty. Upon check-in the girl at the desk told me that they were booked for the night but if we needed to switch rooms we could do so in the morning since we had reserved the room for three night. Our room was scary! […] We could feel every spring in the bed, there were not enough towels, the blackout curtains had holes because they were so old ,the alarm clock was from the 80's,the place was dirty and even had spiders! The staff was ok when I told them we wanted to cancel the rest of our stay. They did not even question why so they must know. Hopefully they can redo the rooms and brew some real coffee. No hot water for showers on Saturday and Sunday. Street traffic wasn't muffled at all and could hear people when they talked outside by their cars or in the hallway. I booked this hotel because I got a discount and it was close to my destination. I do not think that I would even book this same hotel for it's normal rate. The amount I paid was at a discount, but not a great deal. The service when checking in and out was great. Great staff overall. Breakfast was as expected and well stocked. For the amount I was charged for this room for one night was NOT WORTH IT! The beds were uncomfortable, the glass on the sliding door almost came off the frame upon opening and closing the door. The water in the shower would not completely turn off, the pool was freezing cold, the continental breakfast was by far a cry from breakfast!!! The tv reception […] was not even clear. I think what topped everything off was this establishment “conveinetly” started setting up a commercial shoot at 6:00 a.m. right out side our room. I would think that if you would like your customers to get a DECENT NIGHT SLEEP please try not to disturb them when shooting a commercial. Well my fiancee attended a wedding nearby in Arleta and we drove in from AZ. Being that gas prices were almost a dollar more in CA we didn't want to spend too much money for a weekend stay. I thought the place was decent for the rate that they gave me. The room was huge and comfortable. The room came standard with a mini fridge, hair dryer, coffee maker […] and more. She was especially please with the hair dryer since she forgot to bring hers. However, don't expect a luxurious place with a flat screen and brand new appliances because this is not the place. The service we can't speak for too much since we had the "do not disturb" sign up. I did ask for a pillow and they were prompt to bring me one. There is free wifi and I had no issue connecting with my laptop. The continental breakfast was kind of weak, but I didn't expect it to be grand for this hotel. Overall if you are passing through or staying for a weekend were you are going to spend most of the time out and about I say go for it. Read more

The only problem was that the room wasn't very clean and it smelled alot like smoke, and we had asked for a nonsmoking room. The breakfast was good and so is the place where the hotel is located. The food selection was all carbs (waffles, cereal, toast, danishes, bagels) except for some hard boiled eggs. The coffee was okay. The breakfast area would get pretty crowded, but most hotels with complementary breakfast do. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were cleaned and we didn't have any problem there. The bed was a little lumpy and […] the air conditioner could only do so much. The TV was a standard tube TV, so no HDMI input but the channel selection was adequate (hbo, comedy central, cartoon network, fx). The hotel is right off the intersection of the 5 and the 405. But it's kind of in the middle of nowhere so you'll drive a lot to do anything. There are two floors but no elevator. I would still prefer to be on the second floor anyway. The pool looked large and clean but I never used it. The wifi is poor though, I would highly recommend using a cellular modem (I got 4G for verizon). If you need better internet look somewhere else. Maybe it was lighting but the hotel entrance did not look like that to me. I was expecting spacious grounds with a nice place for daughter to play, which did not happen.
