"Quiet, comfy and relaxing"
Stayed for 2 nights at the end of June. The inn is the perfect place to just hang out, have some beers, eat good (little expensive) food, and simply relax. "Very cute inn, very cute town"
The plan was to go to Bennington for the weekend, and found this place on hotels.com. Didn't know anything about Wilmington, but what a find! The Inn is very cute (though our room - Windham- was tiny) and conveniently located in the center of town. This was our first B&B experience and it was great. The innkeepers were super warm and welcoming and despite waiting alittle while for table to eat (make reservations ahead), we had an EXCELLENT dinner and great service. "Great B&B!"
This was a really cute B&B with a very friendly innkeeper. My wife and I stayed here when she met me over a weekend that I was in the area on a business trip. We arrived late at night (after calling ahead) and they left a note on the door for us and the key on the bar. In the morning, breakfast was served promptly at the time they said it would be, […] and it was delicious - especially with the real Vermont maple syrup. Our only regret is that we were leaving the next day and did not have enough time to really enjoy the place for multiple nights. I'm going to write an amazing glowing review for this beautiful little place in Vermont with just a couple of caveats. The owners are amazing, really helpful and friendly. They help you with your luggage and hand out board games to play. The room was beautiful and clean. The bath was big and luxurious. The room was small but very nice. Unfortunately […] the bed was a huge problem for me. I have a back injury, and the super soft sinky mattress, meant I couldn't sleep all night. My girlfriend doesn't have a back problem and she said she couldn't have stayed another night without herself getting a back problem. The only other negative, is that we specifically chose this place based on reviews of the restaurant, and unfortunately it was closed during our stay, so I would recommend calling to ask what the status of their restaurant is. My husband and I travelled to Vermont for the first time and had a wonderfull stay at the Wilmington Inn. The Innkeepers were so friendly and knowledgeable about the area. They were wonderful hosts and made us feel welcome and relaxed. The current innkeepers bought the property over a year ago and have done amazing renovations.
