"Spacious resort"

"Enjoyable stay for the price"
Overall a nice place to stay. We have a family of 6 and don't like booking separate rooms. The 2 bedroom suite was roomy for all of us. There were just a couple strange things I couldn't explain. When opening the soap, it was already a little damp. The counter was dry, so what happened? The towels in the bathroom were also just damp enough to notice. The bathroom was tiny. Barely enough room to take a step. Absolutely no WiFi, despite the claim. Location outstanding - right near ocean in quaint Main town of Ogunquit. Decor of hotel still original 50's or 60's drab. A tad expensive for what it was. The Colonial Resort was disappointing at best. While the staff seemed pleasant and the linens appeared clean, the overall upkeep was poor. It is a good hotel if you are on a strict budget. However, I would personally not stay there again unless there was nothing else available. It is dated, the walls are thin, the t.v. was in the awkward little living room area instead of the bedroom. The furniture was cheap, the bathroom was tiny. The cleanliness was just okay. I booked this hotel for my mom and I last minute and she has some mobility issues, which I asked to have a room on the ground floor because of that. They accommodated us with the best possible room, on the first floor and less than 6 feet away from the pool and 10 feet away from the breakfast room. This hotel was a short walk to downtown and about a 1 3/4 mile walk to Perkins Cove along Marginal Way, so if you are up for a hike, you won't have to pay for parking at the Cove. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. After reading previous reviews we expected an older hotel but were happily surprised at how nice it was. The room was spacious and it was wonderful to have the kitchen with a full sized refridgerator. When I asked him what the problem was, he told me he didn't know anyone was in there.
