We felt lucky find a place for one night on a weekend during October and were surprised by the quality of the room. It was spacious, as mentioned in other reviews, and the beds were very comfortable. All rooms in this hotel has a view of the water. It is great for bird watching and just relaxation on the patio. The rooms are clean and pleasant. The morning breakfast are much better than the normal motel type continental breakfast. For the price, this is a good find.

My only complaint: sound level between rooms. More plumbing noise than I like. Staff is very friendly and helpful. If your room faces east you can get spectacular sunrise on a clear morning. Would return.

I read the reviews from others before going here and the reviews were right on. This is a nice place to stay as long as you don't mind an outdated, undecorated room. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was wonderful considering it was part of the price. Most only have skimpy continentals. Everything […] in the room was in good working order and I was happy to have a small refrigerator. The bathroom was spacious and the only complaint we had was the loud noise after the toilet flushes. We just closed the door after using. We enjoyed the lobby with the cookies in the afternoon and a small bar to purchase a drink to sit and relax with our ipad. It would have been nice to have wifi in the room but the lobby was very inviting. We like to walk so we walked into town, along Marginal Way to Perkins Cove and back. It is about 1.5 miles to town and we walked approx. 6 miles during our round trip. We enjoyed the restaurant across the street but did not like the "Steakhouse". Staff was excellent, the older fellow running the food service was a very nice guy and makes a good waffle. The breakfast was pretty good for being included with the room. The room itself was large, the views out the window of the river/bay were nice. Their is a rental for Kayaks on-site, tho we didnt partake. Shower was a pre-fab stall, but was nice and clean and there was plenty of hot water from a newer shower head. We had a double bed room, the beds were a bit stiff, but sleepable, tho a bit small. A/C ran well and not that loud. TV was not flat screen, tho there are plenty of cable tv choices. The location is pretty good to points north and south. Your above the town center of Ogunquit which is good if your heading north because the traffic is very slow down there. Pool was heated and it was nice, tho it needed to be shocked, but the kids swimming never noticed. The hot tub was big and seemed well maintained. My only ding is the quirky layout of the property due to the hillside land it is built into, so it left my building looking shoe horned into the property. We've been to Maine before but first time in Oqunquit. Definitely will return again. The Oqunquit River Inn and Suites is a good value for your money. The rooms are good size, they have free shuttle service to the beach which is important because parking is a premium and is expensive. Free Continental breakfast is good but adding fruit (besides bananas) […] to the offerings would make it very good. Ryan the hotel manager working the front desk was very friendly and helpful considering he was working 12 hour shifts because end of season makes for staffing issues. The room walls are solid and the place is quiet. We liked the idea of being able to kayak right from the hotel property- very convenient. Hot tub/whirlpool was nice too. This is actually more of a motel than a hotel, but its only a 5-minute shuttle bus ride from the beach, and one can kayak on the river immediately behind the inn-very fun. The complimentary breakfast is also better than most.

The personal is very nice and friendly and tried to accomodate us as much as they could, allowing us to leave our car in the hotel parking lot while taking advantage of the shuttle to the beach after checkout time (It is very difficult to park in the summer and parking prices are crazy -$25 flat rate). We would specifically like to mention the young gentleman who was on reception when we arrived in the evening - he was friendly, welcoming and charming. We would also like to comment on the Breakfast waitress who we witness cleaning up after guests with the same cloth she cleaned a table, two chairs seats, then a table, a radiator top, chair struts […] (horizontal ones) and then cleaned another table top. Our room was in the back of the hotel, on the 1st floor, with a "yard" of lush grass & a great view of the river. The only entrance is a sliding door, & there are chairs outside of it to sit & enjoy the view. The interior of the room was nice... decent carpeting, pretty comfy beds, a table & chairs. The continental breakfast was wonderful! Someone was standing there making homemade waffles... yum! The outdoor pool/jacuzzi setup is a little small but still nice and cozy. We stayed in the jacuzzi a while, it was nice. The hotel is located on Rt. 1, right in the heart of Ogunquit: plenty of restaurants and activities, etc. in the immediate surrounding area. Perkins Cove is only a few minutes away, that's a fun time. This hotel was in a great location, right on route 1. We stayed with a 3 year old and a 6 year old and had a great time. The pool was wonderful and clean. A nice area for the little ones to swim. A beautiful location with comfortable accommodations--the "continental" breakfast is quite extensive, the staff was friendly and helpful, the location is good, and it was not nearly as expensive as it might have been. nice play to stay. Everything was perfect ,almost. We are planning on going back there next year but we would definitively have our breakfast somewhere else: food was very ordinary (the oatmeal not eatable) and the attendant not so "welcoming". The room was very clean with plenty of room for a family of 4. The best added feature that was not advertised was the hotel shuttle that ran from 9am to 4pm - every hour on the hour to Ogunquit Beach. […] This saved us from the headache of finding parking every time we wanted to go to the beach.
