The Ritz-Carlton, San Juan, has a tennis court, a children's club, a health club, an outdoor pool and there are beach/pool sun loungers, umbrellas and towels available. Beach cabanas (surcharge) are also available. There is a full-service spa with a spa tuband 11 treatment rooms. Guests have access to nearby golfing and personal watercraft.
This 9-story Carolina property includes 30,000 square feet of conference and banquet facilities, including an 11,840 square-foot ballroom. Wedding services are available as well as a concierge desk. Guest can access wireless (high-speed) Internet for a surcharge. The Ritz-Carlton, San Juan, has several restaurants, a bar/lounge, and a poolside bar. There is also 24-hour casino on site.

Renovated in October of 2011, Ritz-Carlton guestrooms and suites feature premium bedding, pillowtop mattresses and down comforters with hypoallergenic bedding available. Rooms have climate control and air-conditioning as well as CD players and 37-inch flat-panel televisions and laptop-compatible in-room safe. Rooms have clock radios and desks and complimentary high-speed wired/wireless Internet access . Bathrooms have phones,
complimentary toiletries, hair dryer, makeup/shaving mirrors, scales and bathrobes. There is a minibar with complimentary bottled water, iron/ironing board and cribs/infant beds and rollaway beds are available. In-room childcare (surcharge) as well as daily housekeeping are available. All guestrooms are non-smoking.

Mares - Featuring seafood and Caribbean cuisine, this cafe-style restaurant offers casual dining with a menu focusing on purity and simplicity. Serves breakfast and lunch daily indoors or al fresco overlooking the pool and gardens.
The Ocean Bar & Grill - Casual, beachfront restaurant offering al fresco lunch, views of the beach and ocean, and direct access to the beach and pool. Sushi bar (for dinner only). Open late morning to early evening daily for lunch, evenings Wednesday - Sunday for dinner, and late morning to early evening daily for refreshments at the pool and beach.
Symmetrically shaped, a formal pool bordered by lion-head spouts, stately royal palms, and gardens measures approximately 45.75 x 36.5 m (150 x 120 ft). The pool courtyard includes a six-person spa tub.
Beginning in front the Ritz-Carlton, San Juan, the beach sweeps east in a 1.5-km (1-mi) crescent. Offshore reefs knock down ocean swells, but wind in most weather conditions forms low surf near shore for boogie boarders and surfers. Guests have use of floats, mats, and snorkeling equipment (weather permitting; subject to availability).

"Not so "Ritzy""

"Great Service and Hotel"
My boyfriend and I went on this trip to celebrate our birthdays. We thought the hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. To be expected meals at the hotel were expensive but we walked down the street of the hotel and found some great authentic reasonably priced restaurants. There was also a Walgreens next door to the hotel that we revisited daily […] for water, snacks, and booze and brought back to the hotel. The hotel staff either didn't care or pretended not to notice. I do wish there was a little more going on here at night but instead we walked over to El San Juan hotel and went out in Old San Juan. "beautiful hotel, but the beach is not nice"
the actual hotel and the grounds that the hotel is on is beautiful. however, the actual beach front and sand area is so sad. it is dirty and crowded. i expected a private beach for the ritz carlton. everyone is on the beach and has access. sort of scary.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Ritz Carlton San Juan, solid all around stay"
My wife and I stayed here 1/16-1/22 four our honeymoon. Overall great propery. I suggest renting a car to travel Puerto Rico, we were able to hit many of the major sights on the island from the Ritz. Driving to old San Juan is about 15 minutes through a nicely developed cityscape. We had an entry level room and it was very nice, not the best view but […] still able to see the beach. Pool is great, fitness center is decent but free to use so no complaints there. Only minor drawbacks are dining prices (what you get with a Ritz I suppose) and a larger presence of children than I would expect. Nothing severe enough to affect the trip though.
