"This is a VERY bad hotel"
I am sorry to report that staying at this hotel was a really terrible experience for me and my family. The room rate was very expensive but we decided to splurge because it is difficult for us to find the time to take vacations and we thought we would have a special vacation that we would always remember. We will always remember it, but only because […] it was such a huge disappointment. I don’t have time to go into every detail , but basically the hotel is dirty, the food is horrible, and everyone who works there is either rude or stupid or both. And everything is EXTREMELY expensive. For example a child’s pasta with butter was $36. We tried complaining, but the staff and managers were just rude and unhelpful so we gave up. We did our best to make the most of it and enjoy the nice warm weather, but I am very glad to be home and would never return to this hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Not your typical Ritz Carlton Hotel"
Hotel Review: I would not recommend the Ritz-Carlton San Juan to anyone!! The hotel is below average for a Ritz. The rooms are outdated and dingy. Upon arriving we realized that the city view room we requested overlooked the very disgusting neighboorhood where the hotel is located. We upgraded to a pool view room. Unfortunately, our pool view was obstructed […] by a very large palm tree, so there was no view. I was very dissatisfied. The surrounding neighborhood is disgusting and dirty. The beach is very small. The food at the hotel was overall below average and way overpriced! The customer service is terrible. I requested a menu to be delievered to my room and it took over an hour!! I have had better customer service at Holiday Inns!! Overall I would give the Ritz-Carlton San Juan 2 thumbs down!! for poor customer service, gross surrounding neighborhood, bad food and very average rooms. Sorry I wish I could tell you it was fabulous, but I can't! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
