"Bathroom needs Repair"

"Old, dingy, gross"
The hotel was gross! I read it was being renovated and updated so I thought I would be a good choice as we were only staying 2 nights. I wanted to leave as soon as we entered the room. It smelled like a musty mildew basement. Needless to say our shoes remained on when we were in the room! It was also very cramped, we had two double beds and if one person […] was walking by the bed there could not be someone standing in the way. We were constantly moving chairs out of the way to have a little more breathing room. Thank goodness we were only there a short time because these was no way I was using that shower! Don't even want to go there, as soon as we got home it was shower time! Also we booked here because they advertised a pool, it was an ok size but really run down, you could see all the different patch and paint jobs that have been done to the pool. "toilet didn't flush"
Arrived late at night. Room had toilet and tub downstairs, toilet upstairs. Downstairs toilet didn't flush - I attempted to fix it and got filthy hands trying to re-attach the chain which had been broken. I didn't contact the staff then as we wanted to get to bed. I manually flushed the toilet then and we used the upstairs toilet for the remainder of […] my stay. When I reported the problem with the toilet on checkout in the morning the staff member on the desk did not apologize or thank me for the information and despite being jovial with fellow staff a moment before appeared annoyed with me. "Disappointing"
Not a great story. We were awoken twice during the night by a weird alarm emanating through the bathroom ceiling. The desk staff didn't seem to know or care to find out what it was. In addition, the breakfast buffet was overpriced and overcooked and way too much of it came out of a can or a factory-baked-goods package.
