The hotel was in a great location, under 5 minute walk to Old Town Square and Orloje, and a 10 minute walk to Charles Bridge and Prague Castle. The food was okay and you get a 20% discount at the restaurant as a hotel guest. The staff was not as friendly as I would've liked, but they weren't rude either. Rooms were spacious and comfortable.

Well we stayed three nights, and on the third morning, the shower was out if water for about ten minutes.... But the place was clean, comfortable, reasonable amenities- the television didn't work, no mini bar, but there is a safe. The wifi only works in reception, and sometimes you have to ask them to turn it on, but we stayed in room 25, which is pretty […] much right above the reception area, and sometimes the wifi would reach. The folks in reception are helpful, breakfast is reasonable considering it's free (the croissants weren't cooked all the way, but there were eggs, bacon, sausage, hard boiled eggs, and other options which were tasty). At first glance, this hotel seems to be in a great location for a decent price. The first night we stayed, our room was comfortable, quiet, and while it was a bit warm, the hotel provided us with a fan so it wasn't unbearably hot. The next night our room was changed, and the experience was miserable. There is no elevator, so we lugged our bags up the […] stairs, only to find a stifling hot room with no fan. We called the front desk to request one, but the staff were entirely unhelpful, and basically told us there was nothing they could do, despite the fact that there were fans in other rooms, and in the lobby. The new room was also toward the front of the hotel, and I can sleep through a lot, but the noise was relentless. Carts kept going across the cobblestone and drunken tourists at surrounding cafes kept us awake all night long. Between the 95 degree heat, lack of air, and the noise, we did not get a wink of sleep, which is not ideal when traveling internationally the next day. We were in the summer and there is no air conditioning or fan, and is really hot, we asked for a fan but they didn't have one. Parking is about a mile from the hotel and it cost $34 additional for 24 hours. If you like motel 8 or hostels then you would love this hotel but if you like Marriott you will hate this hotel. The hotel was just completing a major refurb as we arrived in May 2013, so everything was in sparkling condition; all the bedrooms newly painted and with lovely shower rooms. When we finally found the hotel, we were very pleased with the location (in the middle of the old town) reception was a stand-alone desk at the rear of a restaurant of the same name. Directions provided by the staff to the car park were horrid and misleading. The room was huge. It appears the building is very old, the rooms basically are as is. The […] windows didn't close properly, the furniture looked like it was from an auction house, it did not match the room at all, the safe did not work and the noise filtering up from the street was obtrusive until about 2 am. Each time we walked through the restaurant to get to our room we were accosted in an attempt to have us eat there, to the point we were regularly questioned as to why we were there if we weren't eating a meal. Location location location! Literally 2 mins from Staroměstské náměstí (Old Town Square to you and me!) and Pražský hrad (Charles Bridge) so is a perfect base for your stay in Prague. Very ver tny easy to get to as well, take the 119 bus from the airport to Djevica metro station then take the green line (A) 3 stops to Staroměstské and it's a quick 5/10 […] navigation through the streets, The hotel suited me fine, as a single traveller who uses it literally as a base. It was perfectly clean and suitable but it certainly wasn't the most modern or up to date hotel. The hotel uses old school keys rather than keycards and is in quite a busy little corner, with a restaurant outside so coudl be noisy (especially when there is an event on at Old Town Sq) and whilst the staff were helpful, they were a little quiet and brooding! The lift worked fine but looks a frightening prospect for anyone with clostrophobia. My room on the 7th floor was rather lovely, with a nice big low bed and old school wooden furniture and, as said, was a perfect base for a 30 year old who used it for sleeping, showering and being close to the action. However, the safe did not work and the bathroom was coved due to being on the top floor, meaning the shower was not fixed and was a little tricky to use so ask for a lower floor if you're less mobile/flexible as me! Stayed at single room but no lift there! No air conditioner, electric fan equipped. Opening window will annoy you by smell of grill and noise of outside. Bathroom has no curtain by window despite curtain rail there!! Neibour window is blinded but feeling no good, especially for women. You walk through a busy restaurant to find a small table with clueless staff. My room was merely an old closet with a matress on the floor. It was dirty, loud, and if you've driven there's no parking anywhere near by. I ended up looking at my room and walking right back downstairs and leaving. Booked 3 rooms with 3 single beds in each. Received 3 rooms with 2 double beds and a 1 single. Hotel safe was not working in any room (and not secured to anything) Advertised free internet, but we were unable to find it in any room Some furniture is in poor condition, some windows broken, a bit unsafe for children. Complained to the manager re the […] above on check in, he deferred us to expedia saying if you dont like it, it's not my problem. More than 2 hours spent on this, including at one point carrying the "unsafe" safe downstairs to demonstrate that it was both not working and not fastened to anything. Also arguing over the definition of a triple room (Expedia we booked 3 single beds), the manager thought it acceptable that 3 guys should be sharing a bed). Final resolution after wasting 2 precious hours, was 1 extra room, and 1 working safe for 9 of us, no internet. Getting in / out of the hotel is hard as it is a restaurant, with a hotel above it, when the restaurant is shut, gaining night entry is not easy. Getting to your room with luggage involves moving diners out of the way. In it's defence, location is very good, it is clean, it is a very old historic building and the restaurant is good. Besides the manager, the staff are helpful. A little bit more service improvement and then this would be a great hotel. Besides the check in problems, it was fine after Have stayed in much better hotels, this one is cheap, I guess it's buyer beware. Read more

Et hyggelig lite hotell. Rommet vi fikk var stort og godt. Stort pluss også for frokosten som var veldig bra. Hotellet ligger kjempesentralt tett inn til viktige severdigheter i gamlebyen. Desverre innebærer dette også at det er mye bråk nattestid ( til trass for at vi var der i november som er utenfor høysesongen).
