The heart of the city, Stare Mesto's historic buildings are splendidly preserved. The focal point is the cobbled main square, on which stand the Jan Hus Monument, the Old Town Hall and its astronomical clock, and the Gothic spires of Our Lady of Tyn. Linking the Old Town with Mala Strana is the Charles Bridge with its gallery of saintly statues.

Well we stayed three nights, and on the third morning, the shower was out if water for about ten minutes.... But the place was clean, comfortable, reasonable amenities- the television didn't work, no mini bar, but there is a safe. The wifi only works in reception, and sometimes you have to ask them to turn it on, but we stayed in room 25, which is pretty […] much right above the reception area, and sometimes the wifi would reach. The folks in reception are helpful, breakfast is reasonable considering it's free (the croissants weren't cooked all the way, but there were eggs, bacon, sausage, hard boiled eggs, and other options which were tasty). Overall, the place is good for its price, especially considering it is absolutely in the heart of the shopping district, but I wouldn't recommend the attached restaurant. The location was great, the breakfast decent, but it was extremely hot that weekend. Since a/c is not a standard in Europe, especially that it normally does not get so hot, fans should be provided at the very least. Aside from the heat, there building was undergoing some remodeling. "Motel 8 quality, great location."
We were in the summer and there is no air conditioning or fan, and is really hot, we asked for a fan but they didn't have one. Parking is about a mile from the hotel and it cost $34 additional for 24 hours. If you like motel 8 or hostels then you would love this hotel but if you like Marriott you will hate this hotel. The Hotel U Kocku is located in the midst of Old Town so the location is great! My room was over the restaurant bar and there is no air conditioning so the noise was unbearable until the room cooled down enough to close the windows. The hotel is a bit odd because you have to walk through a restaurant to get to it, but you can't beat the location. Et hyggelig lite hotell. Rommet vi fikk var stort og godt. Stort pluss også for frokosten som var veldig bra. Hotellet ligger kjempesentralt tett inn til viktige severdigheter i gamlebyen. Desverre innebærer dette også at det er mye bråk nattestid ( til trass for at vi var der i november som er utenfor høysesongen). Läget på det här hotellet är perfekt, gångavstånd till det mesta, nära allt. Också kul att det ligger en restaurang i botten, men att döma av frukosten ska man inte äta där. Frukosten var det sämsta jag någonsin ätit, torra brödbitar, brunt vatten som ska likna kaffe, svettig ost.. Helt värdelöst. Hotellet ligger lige midt i den gamle bydel bare 250m fra det astronomiske ur. Da det ligger så tæt på det hele, må man forvente noget støj fra gaderne omkring. Ellers er det et ok hotel at bo på med fin morgenbuffet i en lidt slidt restaurant. Men det var ok til den pris vi gav for at bo der.
