Lobby bar & bistro - Wicker armchairs and sofas strewn with bright Indian cushions surround marble tables in this cheerful, modern bistro area. Persian rugs soften the white marble floor. Light meals are served through the afternoon and evening and the curved pinewood bar, accented with red, has a full range of drinks.

Founded in 1348 by Charles IV and redeveloped in the 19th century, the New Town originally played host to Prague’s craftsmen and tradesfolk. It is actually a great hotel, and yes it is in the red light district of Prague. So I would not recommend it to families or older couples. Having stayed in other K&K Hotels I knew the level of service from the staff would be good but in Hotel Fenix it was even better, they were the kindest most efficient people you could meet and did everything with a smile, languages were not a problem, the evening bar waitress spoke both English , French with ease.The hotel itself is clean warm and welcoming, […] the rooms are well furnished with comfortable beds and every amenity you could need. "Good location"
Room was clean and tidy but unfortunately very small even though we booked the extended twin room. The shower was the main let down as the water temperature kept alternating hot and cold. I thoroughly recommend this hotel. The staff are so helpful and polite, the hotel itself is fabulous, very comfortable, extremely clean and just a pleasure to be in. The breakfast was wonderful with something for everyone. We liked the hotel so much we looked forward to going back to it after a days sightseeing. We were a group of 5 mature women on a break in Prague, we were all delighted with the hotel. Everything went very well when we booked in I was given a room on the first floor and all the others were on the second floor. My room was the smallest although perfectly formed. I requested a room on the same floor as my friends and I ended up in a fantastic […] room at the front of the hotel. The street the hotel is on has at least two men's clubs but I heard nothing. The breakfast was very good and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. The Hotel is positioned very well and we were able to walk to most of the main attractions. We got a tram to the Castle and Cathedral the tickets were purchased at the hotel. If we go to any of the other cities where there is a K&K Hotel we will certainly stay again. "Prague weekend"
Hotel was in a convenient location to visit the sites. Although others have posted it is in the red light district, it isn't. There are however 2 'caberet' clubs next door/ opposite. As a 40 year old couple we didn't find this a problem as we just walked past & observed! However I could understand that some may not feel comfortable walking past the […] men who were outside at night with no apparent reason. K&K Hotel Fenix bidrog helt klart med att göra vår upplevelse av Prag bättre än väntat! Riktigt bra frukost och service. Ett tips som inte vi insåg föräns sista dagen var deras privata person transport bilar som i princip funkar på samma sätt som taxi, men med betydligt finare bilar och man slipper bli blåst på taxinotan. Vi bokade en av deras bilar […] till flygplatsen på väg hem vilket var en direktionsvagn med fast pris vilket visade sig vara halva priset av vad vi betalade för taxi till hotellet när vi kom. Meget tiltalende hotell i sentrum av Praha. Ja, det er et noe belastet nærmiljø, men ikke mer enn at hotellet som sådan fortjener all honnør for lang frokost, rene, pene rom og usedvanlig god service. Når jeg gir komfort på rommet middels karakter skyldes det at klimaanlegget var ute av drift i nesten et døgn og det ble varmt. Hotellet har fin beliggenhet. Godt utvalg av mat til frokosten og et pluss at man kan spise frokost frem til 11.00 på hverdager og 12.00 i helgen. Standardrommet er imidlertid for lite for to personer, etter min smak. Sengen er for liten for å kunne sove komfortabelt for to personer som er over 180 cm. og litt over middels kraftige. Sørvisen fra resepsjonen […] var ujevn, flere av de ansatte var meget sørvisinstilte, mens en av de ansatte var alt annet enn det.. jeg ble svært overrasket over å høre at de ikke veksler penger (store tsjekkiske sedler). Det viste seg senere at dette ikke var noe problem hos en av de andre ansatte.. Endel "mas" fra innkasterne ved strippeklubbene som man må passere for å komme til/fra hotellet, det ble litt slitsomt i lengden. Vi hadde rom i 1.etg. Det ble noe støy fra strippeklubbene om natta, hvis man hadde vinduet på gløtt. Ellers stille.
