After much research into which neighborhood to stay in in Prague, we settled on Josefov and President Hotel. We were thrilled with the location--easy... walking distance to the major sights including old town square, river cruises, Letna beer garden, the castle and so much more. The staff was friendly and easy to communicate with in English. I wouldn't say that our room and bathroom were luxury accommodations, but they were comfortable and clean and definitely worth the money. Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jun 14, 2012

A short guide to Josefov

Prague’s Jewish quarter witnessed oppression and suffering for centuries before the Nazis invaded during the Second World War. The tightly packed, insanitary buildings of the ghetto were mostly destroyed in the 1890s, but the Old Jewish Cemetery and several atmospheric synagogues survived. Best is the Old-New Synagogue, dating from around 1270.

Todo perfecto excepto tres detalles: 1. Al entrar al hotel olia bastante mal como un bajante horrible. 2. El aire acondicionado no funciona, tuve que reclamarlo tres veces y no me hicieron ni caso. 3. La fianza del hotel no me la devolvieron a la salida, decían que tenían mucho trabajo ahora y que lo harían más tarde.

Prag ist immer eine Reise wert. Wenn man dann noch in einem so stadtnahen und sehr gut ausgestatteten 5-Sterne-Hotel mit hervorragendem Service übernachtet, wird es ein rundherum gelungener Aufenthalt. Einzig die Parkgaragengebühr im Hotel mit 28,00€/Tag erscheint etwas überzogen.
