"Broken equipment, dirty jacuzzi, rude manager..."
Our family stayed two nights at the hotel. The matresses were really uncomfortable and they were ringing loudly sounding every time you roll from side to side. Coffe (in the room and at the breakfast time) had a horrible taste. On the second day the air conditioner stopped working. Manager said that it takes time it to start working properly. After […] two hours the air in the room was still hot (it was over 90 outside) so we called the manager again. She took my hand up to the conditioner and tried to convince me that it was working good enough while we were sweating. She was very rude. Then she offered to bring a fan instead of air conditioner. "Worn down but nice staff"
The whole room was reeking of old tobacco smoke even though it was a non-smoking room, which was really disgusting in my opinion. The AC was working, but was very old and extremely noisy. We stayed there for one night on a recent trip to Yosemite. It is a long way to Yosemite over curvy mountain roads. I would not recommend this hotel as a place to base your Yosemite visit from. "So not worth the per night charge."
The staff was nice, the room clean but that is about it! Very noisy, my mattress slanted to one side, A/C or swap cooler so loud we could not use. The cleaning staff had their break area on the side of the building which allowed cigarette smoke rose and came through our bathroom window. Will never stay there again. The matresses had springs poking in my back. The floors are paper thin and it sounds like a herd of elephants living above you. I complained to the front desk and did not get an "I'm sorry" or anything. Basically no response from the staff. "ugly, smelly..."
We had requested a non-smoking room and our room smelled as if it had certainly been smoked in. Our room was underground practically, building was on a slope and the parking lot was above our room. Loud airconditioner, too. Ugly, old, stained bed covers. Towels and sheets were clean, but all was outdated and unpleasant to the eyes and nose. Good service, […] we got moved to an above-ground room and were able to check out the next day and move to a superior place (Best Western Oaks) with no charge. "Not a great hotel choice"
On a busy weekend in yosemite, decided to try this hotel, however the choice was wrong. Pro: 1) location was somewhat close to Yosemite Cons: 1) parking was troublesome, had to walk down a steep incline to get to the room 2) the room had an adjoining room, my lock did NOT WORK. Ended up moving the small refrigerator in front of it and hoping for the […] best since it was nearly midnight. 3) WIFI was not working, they hotel staff wanted me to call technician support at midnight to solve it. WIFI never worked in my room, perhaps since I was in the second hotel building. Made booking a hotel for the next night impossible. 4) No hot water in the shower, the shower was only able to achieve a luckwarm temperature, disappointing too. 5) Free 'breakfast' included only prepackaged foods: muffins, bagels and danishes. Not a healthy choice to start the morning. Summary: While this room was convenient in location, that is the only pro. For the price we paid I was EXTREMELY dissatisfied. Hotel was old and outdated. Room was dirty. Bed was very basic and uncomfortable. The hotel is in immediate need of remodeling and updating. Continental breakfast was very limited. I really enjoyed the location and didn't have a problem with the front end staff. But when it came to cleanliness and comfort... two thumbs down. We had to buy air fresheners because the rooms (we had two) smelled of urine. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. The house keeping staff was rude and obnoxious, most hotels I have stayed at (which are a […] lot I travel for business) you hang a sign on the door and they know whether you want turn down service or not. We were stopped the first morning when trying to leave with a party of 8 it isn't easy but was stopped not once but twice by house keeping asking if we are requiring turn down service. "Disappointed"
The reception desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room we received, bottom floor to the rear, was small and dingy and lacked a refrigerator.
