To begin the traffic to get into the hotel was horrible. When we finally got to the entrance, they were charging $15 to self park or $20 for valet parking. That was ridiculous to me. The line to check-in was long & when I finally got to the front, our room was not ready. Check-in was supposedly at 4:00pm & we finally got to our room around 5:30pm. The […] room was outdated (style-wise) in my opinion. The bed was not comfortable; it was too hard. The linens were very rough (not plush). The entire time there, we would hear a door creak above us. We were not able to sleep well because of it. The house-keeping staff were not very friendly. We left around noon & returned around 2pm; the room was not cleaned. When I called to request the room be cleaned when we had our spa service, they were very rude & hung up before I got a chance to say anything else. Lastly on the day we checked-out (check out was at 11:00am), we were rushed out - as we left, a house-keeping staff asked what room we were in & when we answered they turned to call the front desk to confirm we were gone (mind you it was ten to 11 when we walked out the room). We stayed just one night the day before our cruise to the Bahamas. We checked in on Mother's Day. It was very busy. We had to valet (at a charge) park because it was so crazy and we didn't want to have any problems. The service was great. They greeted us at the car the bellman took our bags and we were early but they allowed us to check in. We ate poolside […] and played on the beach. The boardwalk in under construction and was closed and judging to the amount of work needed. I really don't think it will open anytime this year. We listened to sounds of the ocean all night it was great. The only downside of our stay was the valet lost our car for over an hour they had to look for it. We were sent up to our room with a key, opened the door and other guests were in the room! We were then supposed to get an upgraded room, but that wasn't ready, so we ended up with the third room, which was ok. Hallways smell, a bit dated, but big, comfortable rooms with a good beach and atmosphere.

We were only at the hotel for one night. But the lobby and the people were very nice. Thank goodness they upgraded our room, because even the upgraded one had a bad view of the rooftop of building next door. Very retro, interesting. No coffee makers.

The Hotel is nice. For the ones who love Sunny Isles couldn´t be better. Excellent price for what you get. Is always full and specially crowded on weekends. The elevators are always full and we used the stairs more than once. Cleaness is an issued I didn´t notice last time. They never used the vacumcleaner in the whole week. The people at the front desk were nice and helpful, a huge breakfast buffet was included every morning, right on the beach. Beach chairs and towels are provided-- there is a 15$ fee per day if you would like an umbrella. The rooms were clean, but very outdated and in need of an update. Overall it is a great hotel for the money.

The hotel location and beach are very nice. They have a separate pool and very close to a decent beach. The surround neighborhood has some shops within walking distance and more with a mile drive. There is a Subway, CVS, GNC, and a variety of restaurants on the same block as the hotel. As some of the reviewers said, some rooms are being renovated, […] which are nice. You can see them from the outdoor deck looking into one of the lower floors. However, the one we stayed in was not renovated and not worth the money, even with the 30% discount and a free massage. It was a 1Br but they still had small CRTs in the rooms and the carpet was old. The bed was nice and there was a whirpool as a tub, which made up for the bad room. The lobby and most of the public areas are very nice. Until they renovate all the rooms, i wouldn't consider staying here. I would've paid more money for the trump hotel, which is down the block. Our check in experience was really bad. Check in time was 3. We reached at 3:30 and but our room wasn't ready. They asked us to wait in the lobby and check back in 15-20 mins. We went back to the desk after about 20 mins, they said our room was not ready yet, so gave us a different room that they claimed was ready. We lugged our bags and saw that the […] room was a mess. Couch cushions lying around, wet towels strewn on the floor, the bed completely unkempt. It was clear housekeeping hadn't gotten anywhere near the room! We went to the desk again, and they finally gave us another room. This third room thankfully was ready and we dragged our bags there. By this time, it was past 4:30. We lost more than an hour to check-in and had to change some of our plans for the evening :( Oh, the elevators are SLOOOOOOOW. Plan for 5-10 mins waiting for the elevator if you're going anywhere. And the corridor on our floor (5th) was freezing cold. We'd come out of the room in beachwear and instantly wish we had a jacket for the 5-10 mins it took us to get from our room to the elevator and wait for the elevator to grace our floor. Self-parking was in an open lot across a big street so getting across in the heat was a bit of a pain. Also note, complimentary toiletries didn't include body lotion/moisturizer, but maybe that's a Florida thing as it wasn't in our next hotel either. Read more

Nice Beach and Pool make it a very Good Family place. The rooms are layed out in 2 parts, and have refrigerators, and couch converts to full size bed if you are staying with kids. You will need a car to get anywhere, its about 15 mile to South Beach. Theres valet parking. DEFINITELY use the spa and get a massage from a guy there name Jay!!!

TERRIBLE ROOM!!!!! We are coming from cold NYC with high expectations of beautiful Florida weather and a hotel we are paying well for. We step into room 633 and it looks as though we stepped back in time into a dirty room from the 1980s. The sheets were stained and I have NEVER laid down on a harder, more uncomfortable bed. My fiance and I are convinced […] that it was not a mattress... still not sure what it was ( it actually had a bed wetting cover that made noise every time one of us moved which was thru out the night). I asked to be upgraded to a nicer room and apparently they were all sold out. After a terrible nights sleep ( overlooking the highway with no way to open the window) I demanded an upgrade or a refund ( down the street rooms were a few dollars more expensive but would have been well worth it). They upgraded us to an oceanfront room that was renovated that was actually very nice. The prior experience was so annoying and stressful though, I will never ever recommend this place. It says enough when I ask housekeeping "where is the lotion" and she replies " the manager is making cuts and she said lotion is unnecessary". I do believe an oceanfront beachside hotel should have lotion. Bad call new manager. Not to mention outside the hotel there was a huge crane building the dock- a bit of an eye sore. I would NEVER EVER go back there. It needs some serious maintenance. If you are looking for a stress free vacation- there are plenty of places to chose from- trust me- spend the extra few bucks on a room if you have to. I regret wasting 2 nights there. Read more

Lots of conveniences: in lobby restaurants and cafe, small store, tiki bar with food service out by pool with access to beach. Nice beach, great pool. Rooms are OK but nothing special like a holiday inn, but the views are good and the pool area is great. A good low cost hotel but if you are going for great rooms look elsewhere. For nice outdoor areas and a decent atmosphere pretty good. The elevators are really really slow though. Leave yourself extra time slow.

This is a really nice hotel in the Sunny Isles area but since it's so far north, getting to South Beach is a bit of a pain.
