"Cheap but rude."
Remember you get what you pay for. The hotel isn't bad, although it is old and needs better upkeep simple changes would make for a much better experience. The beds are very uncomfortable hard, the staff was a bit rude, a simple smile and good morning or how are you would go a long way to making a person's stay more pleasant, but not one staff member […] that we came in contact with had that type of courtesy. Also we were checking out on a Saturday and went to sit by the pool for a little while by the pool, we were very rudely asked to get off of the lounge chairs that we were at because they were reserved we got up and stayed in the area for about an extra hour and yet no one was around to occupy the chairs that we were removed from. Better customer service would help this place out. for now if you have a few extra bucks I would recommend stay someplace a little better. "Sunny Isles is nice , but with an good hotel"
The front desk+bellboy+valetparking people workt to hard and every day and more then one shift . But nobody smill to you, no body are friendly , no body speak more than 5-word to you . They just say NO to you answeare . The hotel is old , the room is small , the AC do not work , the bathroom is ugly , they supposed to clean you room and it dos not happen […] . I read some negative revieuw about this hotel before , but still wen there and will never recomment it to nobody . We stay in an nice hotel in Orlando for an week . Sunny Isles is nice to stay closed to the beach , but still relax . I be many times in Miami but this whas the worst hotel i have bin to . Specially because we come from the Caribbean and we know the importans to keep the tourist happy and conforbel. Excellent location and nice beach but the hotel rooms and bathrooms are very old and in need of an update . "Days Inn thunderbird in Sunny Isles"
The hotel was extremely dated, I wasn't expecting it to the the trump (next door) but I was expecting it to be a lot better. The windows where extremely old and dirty, you could barely see the beutirful view. I asked for a kitchenett and it was an additional amount of money, there was no extractor so the fire alarm kept going off. I was surprised at […] the size of the room extremely spacious, I expected the bathroom to be the same. but it was extremely small and old, no counter space. For the most part the hotel staff was nice, and friendly except one bad apple and experience at checkout. The day before checkout I was gone all day and left my car at the valet. I came back to find that they where holding my car keys at the front desk because my credit card had been declined. I had stated at check in that I would pay in cash at checkout and that my card was only as a guarantee. Still, they tried to charge my card. I gave them an old debit check card I knew could not be charged on purpose just in case.... There you go! See why I keep that card! The concierge sugested two wonderful restaurants, we where extremely pleased. House keeping was nice and left us extra towels no problem. I know now to never rent at this hotel during Holiday's / long weekends. Very bad atmosphere!! The hotel employees can be very rude, especially the valet workers & security guard. We had a 2 night stay at the hotel which was ok. I don't think I would like to stay much longer. The whole ambience was of a dated tired hotel in need of a pick up. I think I read that they are in the process of updating, sadly our room certainly had not had this benefit. The bath was chipped although the shower was perfectly acceptable. La ubicacion y los alrededores son inmejorables porque Sunny Isles es una zona de moda, con malls y restaurants, pero a la vez tranquila:- El hotel en sí.... mmm, a ver, intentemos ser justos: teniamos una habitación en PB, con salida directa a la playa, la habitación era super espaciosa, con dos camas queen y hasta una pequeña cocina totalmente equipada: […] Hasta acá podría parecer soñado... pero no, el estado general del hotel es decadente, más alla de lo pasado de moda en su decoración ( que sería lo de menos) falta hasta el mantenimiento más básico, roturas, grietas, oxido y manchas por donde se busquen, la impresión general es que en cualquier momento va a asomar una rata o cucaracha tropical por algun rincón ( no vi ninguna, es solo la impresión que da): En cuanto al servicio, tienen " seriedad estadounidense" , por una confusión interna de ellos pretendían cobrarnos más de lo que indicaba nuestra reserva, pero luego de mostrar la reserva impresa que llevamos desde aquí y pedir hablar con la gerente, lo solucionaron. El hotel tiene una infraestructura vieja, de la década del 60. Tiene algunas cosas mejoradas, en general con bajo presupuesto. Lo mejor del hotel: está frente a la playa, la pileta está bien, tiene supermercado, restaurants, farmacia, estación de servicio, todo en un radio de 2 cuadras, estacionamiento en frente por usd 8 x dia y además está a minutos […] en auto del aventura mall. Lo peor: Infraestructura vieja, mantenida con poco presupuesto, no es un hotel restaurado, sino que está apenas mantenido. Si bien tiene una pequeña cocina, no cuenta con microondas. Se cobra por los servicios adicionales de reposera en pileta y playa. No son muy amables en la recepción, sobre todo a partir de las 6pm. En resumen, si tienes bajo presupuesto y quieres estar en la playa, con pileta y cerca del aventura mall, es una opción, si no pretendes un hotel con cierto nivel.
