In 1944, roughly 80 percent of Caen was destroyed during the Battle of Normandy. Rebuilt during subsequent decades, the city is now mostly modern in character. However, some important historical landmarks remain, such as Château de Caen (one of the largest medieval castles in Europe), and the Women’s Abbey and Men’s Abby, built by William the Conqueror in 1060 and 1063.

Pour le prix de la nuit les chambres pourraient être insonorisées...c'est un minimum vu le nombre de passage dans cette hôtel donc à partir de 8h00 on peut plus dormir en parti à cause des claquements de portes et la literie est lamentable lit qui a grincé toute la nuit.
