"Don't waste your time in Aqaba - go to Tala Bay."
The Moevenpick in Aqaba is nice ... but that's about it. The private beach is very small, and due to its location on the Red Sea, your view consistently includes two to three barges and/or oil tankers. Not the most pleasant sight. Also, the housekeeping was not satisfactory - did not restock my coffee/tea, my towels or my complimentary water each morning. […] They barely even tidied the room. BUT - what saved the trip is the chance to use the facilities at the other Moevenpick in Tala Bay. About 20 minutes away, but amazingly beautiful and relaxing - exactly what a vacation on the Red Sea should be. The quality of service in the hotel is quite poor, we had issues both with the house keeping and the service in the restaurants. It may be that they were quite busy for the new year preparations, but the hotel seems very understaffed in key areas, and some of their staff doesnt seem to have the right training.
