"A Trip Back In Time"
The hotel is accessed by a cobbled street on foot and is surrounded by other centuries old structures. The friendly and prompt service made our stay a pleasure. Because the hotel is in a very old restored building it has small rooms and baths in addition to its charm. The location was perfect for our stay on Mont St. Michel. We would stay there aga […] in. "Nice hotel"
There was no air conditioning so we had to keep window open. This was fine for the breeze and no bug problem, but the noise at night from tourists up and down the small street was a problem and then the workers came out later and caused the same noise problem. Did love staying on right on the island of MSM.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Perfect for what we needed."
This hotel was perfect for what we needed while visiting Mont St. Michel. The staff were all nice and accommodating and the hotel is cute and tucked right in along the bustling pedestrian street. We stayed on the top floor room 106 (107 is located on top too) and I would highly recommend getting a room up top if you can handle the stairs. The room had […] really high ceilings and both windows looked over rooftops instead of into another hotel room. The room was LOUD but I think they all are loud due to the shops and foot traffic all around. The hotel seemed much nicer than the hotels off the island and it is very cool to wander around during dusk when all the tour buses have left. The terrace restaurant in the hotel is casual with okay food and an amazing view. The room was tiny but I think they all are and it is perfect for one or two nights. "A Night to Remember"
The hotel was fine -- carrying suitcase up the hill to the hotel was not. Also, once in the hotel it was 3 flights up with the suitcase. I do think that for guests staying overnight some type of arrangement should be made where you can drop off your luggage at the foot of the Grand Rue and have it delivered to your room. I would be willing to pay for […] this. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Le Mouton Blanc"
We spent two nights at le Mouton Blanc and loved the experience. Staying on the island allows you to enjoy Mont Sant Michel without the day crowds. A real value for the price. Room 105 was large, brght and comfortable. They do not have a receptionist through the night so be sure to check-in early in the evening. Highly recommend this hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Charming"
Adorable hotel, great location, excellent restaurant. Rooms cozy and simple but charming. One person in our party had major trouble with street noise in room 101, a really cute room on the front. Staff wasn't sure how to work the heater in my room. Free wifi welcome, worked well when you could get in but multiple users made access uneven.Genuine Expedia guest review
"staying on Mont Saint Michel"
The thing is that if you want to see MSM without the hordes, you have to stay on the island (and it is also super cool to stroll the ramparts at night). I don't know what the other hotels are like, but there are only a few. This one was certainly nice enough- it was timbered and had a big window looking out onto the alleyway (the entrance into the village) […] which was very cool. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We ate dinner in the hotel, and it was very good. But the room is pretty basic. There was some peeling paint, and the bathroom/water did not smell very nice- but I assume that these are simply elements of being in an ancient building on a little island. Our door lock did not work- but we discovered this late and did not report it to the desk in the morning- the island is small, and the hotel quite secure, so we felt safe. Overall, my advice would be: stay on the island, be prepared for lots of stairs, ignore the cheesy tourist shops, and expect a basic room. And I think the Mouton Blanc will do just fine! "Amazing"
I have always dreamed of visiting Mont St. Michel. Thanks to this hotel, we were able to stay the night on the island! The island was easy to find and easy to park. One must wheel their luggage quite a way to the hotel however it is not a difficult walk. The hotel room decor was very outdated. But, short of that the service and quality and location […] was perfect. We were able to walk around the island at night due to the proximity of the hotel. I would highly recomend this hotel to anyone who wants a comfortable and decent priced hotel on the island. It appears the hotel was park of the old church building at one time which added a little historical flare to our stay. If staying you must go on the monastary tour. You will not be dissapointed. Thank you! We had a wonderful time. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Our room was terrific! We had a great view of the cemetery from one bedroom window and the wall that faced the sea from the other window. "Hotel is nice, but don't eat at the restaurant!"
First of all, Mont Saint Michel is simply amazing! I can't believe we were able to book a room on this pseudo-island! Mouton Blanc was nicely located right at the beginning of the main street. When we arrived, the receptionist was absolutely wonderful. Our room was on the top floor, no elevator, but we carry our backpacks so we didn't care. It was very […] castle-like with lots of twists and turns and nooks and small spaces everywhere to peek at. Such a novelty and so much fun! Our room was very nice and even quite large by Europe standards, especially considering how much was packed on this little island. However, do not eat at the restaurant. In fact...RUN from the restaurant. RUN FAST. We were the only people in the restaurant when we first arrived. We ordered 2 glasses of wine, and the waiter brought a bottle. We figured we would drink that much anyway so we didn't say anything. My husband ordered one thing on the menu but it was clear that something else was presented to him. My husband asked a different waitress to see the menu and then questioned the waiter. The waiter was not happy with us for questioning him and snatched the menu from my husband. The waiter was generally cranky and angry with us and everyone else. In fact, he was so rude that some other customers got up to leave. They must have complained because soon they were back with this waiter ooh-ing and aah-ing over them and serving them with huge smiles...but then turning around and rolling his eyes. It was very unprofessional. As if a cranky waiter wasn't enough, there were gnats and mosquitos and flies. Now I realize that everywhere you go in Europe (for some reason) there are these annoyances. But this was ridiculous as we were continually swatting at this or that bug. At one point, I turned to look at the wall above my husband's head and I counted 10 mosquitos. I quit counting and we ate as fast as we could to get out of there. The next morning we went for a walk to the abbey and we got back 15 min Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Location, location, location"
Very friendly, English-speaking staff. quaint old hotel, in the heart of the historic, medieval village on Mount-Saint-Michel. Great location to be in late in the evening and early in the morning, after and before all the hordes of day-trip tourists, when the Mount is quiet and tranquil. Unfortunately, the only parking is down at the foot of the Mount, […] at the end of the causeway, and it can be a hike up to the hotel, especially if you're lugging a heavy bag. I'd recommend you pack a small overnight bag, and just bring it up into the village. Also, it's critical to know when the really high tides are, as the parking area can flood during those times, and the parking situation would be much more difficult. Our room was in the "upper" building, across from the parish church, which was clean and decent, but without any charm in the interior. I'm told the rooms in the main bukiding, I.e., where the reception is, are much more charming. I' definitely stay here again, but I'd pack just an overnight bag, and ask for a room in the main building Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Inside Mont St Michel walls"
Staying inside Mont St Michel is a MUST if you want to explore the city after all tourists are gone. None of the hotels there are luxurious so this is a really good choice. "A good place to stay on the Mont"
Hotel was fine for the opportunity to stay on Mont St Michel. Decent value for the money with no complaints on the room, or the service we needed (which was only checking in/out). For those using this hotel (or any others on the Mont), plan to backpack in the clothes, etc you need rather than haulng any luggage, unless it is small. Main streetway inside […] the walls is sloped, but virtually everything requires a stair climb. If you are going to stay at least an overnight when visiting, stay on the Mont. "Good value for MSM"
The hotel was good value. Rooms were clean, spacious, nice. Some reviews noted thin walls - they have now soundproofed the joining walls, no noise, new carpets. Avoid the meal option, the restaurant service was so slow we walked out (see below for more). The breakfast buffet was good.. It's fun to be on MSM overnight. Downside is that most of MSM is […] owned by 1 or 2 large corporations. A bit like National Park lodging in the US. All the restaurant menus are virtually identical, food average, service terrible. The place caters to mass tourism during the day, and is virtually empty at night with no real residents. still, don't miss it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Old hotel within the walls of Le Mont"
Le Mouton Blanc is well situated within the walls of Le Mont. The room was basic but comfortable and clean. Bathroom was small, but everything worked so it suited our purposes (we weren't there to spend much time in our room). No bar fridge (this was something we would have used, as drinks in the local restaurants and bars were expensive). Very steep […] stairs made getting the luggage to our room a bit of a workout! Staff were friendly and helpful, and service in the restaurant was good. Unfortunately, all the restaurants seem to offer a similar menu, so choices are limited. Beware light sleepers - this is an old hotel and not terribly soundproof. We could hear water running in other rooms, and activity from the passage was quite loud.
Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
