I would have rated higher on the cleanliness of the room but when we checked in, it was obvious that the staff hadn't vacuumed the room (crumbs and mud all over the carpet). But one quick call to the front desk and a five minute wait later a supervisor came to verify our complaint. We came for our honeymoon and the staff and management couldn't have been nicer. The breakfast buffet is amazing! I only wish we hadn't done so much sightseeing so we could have enjoyed the outdoor pools and deck. We did use the indoor pool in the wellness center and it was fabulous! There are tons of hotel amenities and the concierge was very helpful! We used the free wi-fi near the business center if we needed to look up any travel information. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Room given not as originally offered in advert, not a sea view more a mariana view, although quiet and sunny for afternoon sun. Breakfasts nice but not exceptional have had same quality in lesser rated hotels. Great hotel for pretty much everything and they even have a private water sports area where you can rent boats and jet ski's etc. Only let themselves down at one of our meals where they seemed to totally forget we were even there!

We had a fantastic week here, it was lovely to return to the hotel and find that it was all that you remembered. It was very clean and run very well, the staff are friendly and very obliging, the swimming pools were very well kept and the pool staff friendly and helpful. If I had one negative comment it is the slippery floors. I slipped and fell down in my room on the tiled floor although not badly and when the tile cleaning was being done in the hall by the lifts it was a health and safety nightmare. The Hilton is very comfortable and conveniently located. Hotel services are expensive, from 28 Euros for a very standard piece of swordfish to an eye-watering 5 Euros per hour for wi fi. Certain other 5 star hotels in Malta offer free wi fi in public areas. Outdoor pool areas are very good but it was disappointing that areas were at times off limits […] to guests to accommodate private bookings. I was denied access to these facilities for over 20% of my stay at the hotel. It did not help for the Duty Manager to tell me that I probably wouldn't want to use the pool at these times because it would be too hot for me! The hotel has significant problems with its lifts. Overall, the location and amenities of the hotel are very good. However, i would expect that a hotel such as this would have given guests free wifi (timed). Even the intercontinental does!! Staff here are ok, but don't bother with coffee at the hotel's cafe (on level 5 just opposite reception) - we waited over 20mins for a waiter to take our order only […] to be ignored (and there was hardly a guest in sight). Stay only in the new part, where the finish is first class, we had to move as the older part was noisy through an adjoining door, no problems in the King Executive Room though. Staff very helpful and valet parking a bonus.

L'Hilton di Portomaso a Malta ha in più una posizione strepitosa sul mare ma occorre però dire che risente di un accesso difficoltoso. Infatti, non è sempre possibile bagnarsi a causa della scogliera che diventa […] praticabile e sicura solo con il mare calmo. Inoltre, l'area è pubblica e naturale, non è riservata ai soli clienti dell'Hotel. L'acqua in compenso è davvero limpida. L'hotel dispone, comunque, di diverse piscine per tutti i gusti, compresa quella sulla scogliera. Buono il rapporto qualità prezzo dei diversi ristoranti interni: il prezzo è giusto rispetto al tipo di locale e alla qualità e varietà dei piatti serviti anche al buffet.Ottima la variegata colazione al buffet. Il personale è cordiale e disponibile. La lingua italiana è sufficientemente compresa un po da tutti ma non dobbiamo pretendere che tutti lo parlino perfettamente: anche noi italiani dobbiamo sforzarci con un po di inglese! La nostra stanza era davvero con tutti i comfort. La posizione dell'hotel è centrale e si possono raggiungere tutti i luoghi dell'isola con soli €2,60 al giorno. L'animazione è discreta e non invasiva. Accanto all'hotel c'è il Casinò di Portomaso, località che offre comunque divertimento per tutti i gusti. Det ligger på Porto Maso, som er en lækker havn, med en trappe ned til den, hvor der ligger en masse restauranter, som er rigtig hyggelige og serverer rigtig god mad, sammenlignet med mange andre steder på øen. Baren på restauranten, som også serverer snacks, er også rigtig god. Vi fik en platte, som vi delte […] to mand. Det var mættende nok i den hede der var. De har flere pools, så der er både til børnefamilierne og de voksne, der gerne vil have lidt fred. Derudover er spaen rigtig lækker og der er et godt træningscenter.
