"Romantic Getaway"
Having booked on line, the room we were given was not at all what I had expected (water view rather than beach front). They were very accommodating and were able to upgrade our room to beach front, at a very reasonable price. In the end, the room was lovely with amazing views of the water and sea life, and included a gas fireplace and jet tub (very […] romantic for our anniversary). "A wonderful place to stay!"
We enjoyed our one night stay. The king size bed with down duvet was very cozy, the fire place helped heat the room. Our time after check-in was spent in the hot tub, dry sauna, steam room and swimming pool. A great way to spend an evening after an afternoon spent snow shoeing. "Good place to stay after a full day on the slopes"
Nice hotel, although a bit dated. The spa and pool/hot tub were very welcoming after a full day at Mount Washington Ski report. The disappointing side of our stay was the room and the doorway that joined us an other room. You could hear everything, including full conversations (I don't think the other guests were talking loud) and even belching and […] other bodily noises. Not very nice to say the least and if it was not so busy we would have requested another room. Other than the place is nice and the staff are friendly. My only advice is to make sure you specifically request not to get one of the few rooms that have adjoining doors to other rooms. We will definitely be visit this hotel again. A beautiful location with great ocean views. The pool, exercise and hydrotherapy facilites were really nice and relaxing. "Lovely hotel with great service"
We decided to stay at the Kingfisher for a quick weekend getaway and to go snowboarding at Mount Washington. The location was great and we had a short drive to the Mountain and Courtenay.
