The jacuzzi was gone. They filled it in. The room was hot and the AC barely worked. The fan in the bathroom didn't work. The video games stole quarters. There was a dirty shirt left in our room from the previous occupant. The lady filling up the muffins in the breakfast bar should have worn gloves and didn't. Some light fixtures were loose in our room, shades were torn!

I understand that the hotel is under construction, but compared to the other hotels similarly rated in Lima, there is much left to be desired. The room was spacious but very old furnishings. The worst was the very thin blanket- It was definitely not warm enough for November. Rented a room for 1 night using Expedia's Unpublished Rate Hotel option. Would not have been satisfied with this hotel had I paid full price for the room, but was acceptable for a short stay at a deep discount. Room was clean, staff was friendly, and hotel had lots of amenities (e.g. indoor pool). But this hotel missed the mark in several areas. First, […] the temperature in the building was EXTREMELY hot. Hallways and elevators were stifling. Rented room in early April and had to crank the AC as soon as I got in my room. Second, the pop/water vending machines on multiple floors were completely empty. Had to go to front desk to buy a bottle of water. Third, room was clean but furniture was very old. Bed was not very comfortable as mattress offered little support. Bathroom needed updated. I would not recommend paying published rate for this hotel. However, if your stay is brief and you can get your room at a steep discount (e.g. at unpublished rate), the inconveniences are tolerable. Howard Johnson, by I-75, now owned by Wyndham, looks to be built as an original Holiday Inn Holidome, with an interior pool. Outside facade has been very nicely redone. Parts of interior redone, fairly well. Rooms are not all done yet. Our room was neat and clean, faced the inner courtyard, a bit noisy until the kids finished swimming. Bed could be […] better, most hotels at this price point have not yet got the idea of really good beds ...... please work on this. This hotel needs renovation. Our room was quiet, except for the loud plumbing when the room next door took a shower, but the furniture was old (broken handle on tv cabinet), wallpaper dingy, mildew on shower curtain, outdated polyester curtains and bedspread, etc. It was a non-smoking room but retained a stale odor of smoke underneath the strong smell […] of air freshner or some kind of cleaner.
