We arrived late and found there to be no one at the desk to check us in, fortunately they had an emergency number to call and Jim picked up right away and provided us instruction on how to get into our room. Once we checked in with the staff the next morning they were very helpful in recommending local restaurants and local attractions. The property […] is right on the water with a nice walking path around the inlet. Since the rooms overlook the water, we had a great view of bald eagles right from our deck. The rooms are like a small apartment with full kitchen, bath, bedroom, living room with fireplace and dining area. While your desk staff was competent and courteous, you have trained them to explain your "rules" in much too much detail...ad infinitum! Our joke was that we thought we'd never make it beyond the desk. Since the two people on staff behaved exactly the same, it must be policy; a very annoying one. We also did not understand the need to charge an additional […] $200.00 which went on my credit card. While it was quickly refunded on check out, I will be further annoyed if I have to pay interest on it. As you already had a cr. card swipe, it seemed superfluous. You are the only accommodation to do that over several years of travel. Now, the good stuff...Staff was helpful and courteous and the unit was comfortable, private , comfortable, well designed and oh so very clean with many extras which we appreciated. Though we used only a few dishes which we washed by hand, there was a dishwasher! We were very impressed with our stay. Hotel location was great, the suite was very roomy (3 adults stayed) and very clean. The suite included kitchen utensils and cleaning supplies so we could either cook in or eat out. The 2 person tub on the deck with the ocean view was especially wonderful. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Overall clean and friendly. Things are as expected in a 3-star hotel with better view and location. I would recommend it. Down sides are physically small beds, physically small plumbing fixtures, some stains on the carpet, and burnt pots and pans.

The only concern is that we were offered a special rate online and fully charged by hotel.com when booking it but the resort manager told me a different rate was showing in the system which really worried me as I don't want to be double charged by both hotel.com and the resort. Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Waters Edge. We were surprised when we walked into 605 to see how much space we had. Everything was clean and in good working order. It was nice to have a full kitchen including spices. There's a Co-op nearby and we found all the groceries we needed. From our balcony we saw bears, deer, starfish, a raccoon, […] a jellyfish and lots of birds. We enjoyed whale watching, kayaking, hiking and relaxation. In the evenings we took advantage of the hotel's video library. We only ate out a couple times and would recommend Uke Dog and the Floathouse for delicious food. Read more

I took my wife, 11 and 12 year on a Thanksgiving weekend getaway. We cooked our meal in the room. We went kayaking. We watched DVD's, had numerous visits to the hot tub on the balcony. We rated this hotel as a 10 because the stay it was flawless and most relaxing - for ALL of us ! We would most certainly recommend this hotel and this location.

Enjoyed 2 nights at Uclulet but given the drive from Victoria would better have stayed 3. Nice location , helpful staff. No restaurant/breakfast facility at hotel but good options nearby. Helpful staff and nice apartment , bikes on loan a bit low tech! A laundry facility would be useful.

Our recent 3 night stay was good. Great service from the front desk staff. Try to get a unit on the side opposite the harbour as it was very noisy at night and first thing in the morning. The condos are very spacious and the outside soaker tub was a nice touch. The unit we were in was rather sparsely equipped in the kitchen and we ran out of dishwasher […] soap and paper towel by day two. The only thing it still needs is a restaurant on site, (which they have, but not yet anyone to run it) but the apartments are really well appointed, and by UK standards, self catering is made easy by good equipment, supplies of herbs, salt and pepper, tea, coffee and cleaning equipment and dishwashing materials. We were only there two days, but would definitely come again for longer - there are free kayaks and body boards, and the location is very peaceful - great for families. We were very happy and pleased with our stay at Water's Edge Resort in Ucluelet, B.C. We stayed one night in the one bedroom suite w/out hot tub. Everything was clean, the pull out sofa bed was comfortable (my sister was concerned about that) and the view was great! We had the ground floor unit room 107, there was a big tree in front but the view was […] still beautiful. Unfortunately, because of our tight schedule, we couldn't take advantage of the kayaks and bicycles they had for guests to borrow, but the water area around the resort is perfect for kayaking. We did most of our activities up in Tofino which is a bit of a drive (1/2 hour to 45 minutes) but doable. We surfed and went whale watching. (It might have been nice to have a hot tub for after surfing...) The best two days of this year so far!! Next time, we would love to walk the Wild Pacific Trail which is right in Ukee. Sarah was a pleasure to meet and very helpful and gave us a lot of good suggestions on places to eat and see! Read more

Six of us stayed at the water's edge resort. There was lots of space and it was very clean. The only downfall was that because we brought our dog the room wasn't ready for us. We had to wait an aditional 2 hours for a room to become ready. We booked through hotels.ca and it didn't specify to call ahead for the dog and that was the downfall. We stayed for one night to go to Pacific Rim National Park. The resort is townhouse-type units; some are owned and others rented out like a hotel. The rooms were big; my wife and I had a bedroom while our teenage kids slept in the living room; one on the pull-out couch and the other on the floor. We were thrilled. It turned out that it was whale festival week and the staff gave us lots of info about where to go and what to see. The hot tub looked out onto the water and the kids and I loved it. This hotel gives you lots of privacy and its location is very beautiful- it is located by the water at an inlet adjacent to the harbor. You can watch the boats go in and out of the harbor- it is very quiet and we had our own hot tub on the terrace. Great kayaking on the inlet. Abolut SUPER! - Wir haben uns dort sehr wohlgefühlt! Anfangs waren wir zwar enttäuscht, dass die Dame an der Rezeption noch nichtmal nachgeschaut hat, ob unser Zimmer evtl. schon fertig wäre, als wir schon um 14 Uhr dort ankamen (das war in anderen Hotels Standard), sondern generell erst ab 16 Uhr Eingecheckt werden kann. Aber das Zimmer und die Umgebung […] hat das dann doch wieder wett gemacht! Das Zimmer war absolut schön und gemütlich eingerichtet. Es wurde bei der Gestaltung auf sehr viele kleine Details, ... geachtet. Während des Aufenthalts gab es keinen Zimmerservice. Nur der Abfall wurde geleert und der Kaffee, .. aufgefüllt. Die Küche war außerdem die beste Hotelküche, die man sich vorstellen kann. Sicher besser und neuer, als viele sie zu Hause haben. Mit hochwertigen Geräten, schönem - vollständigem - Geschirr und einem riesen Kühlschrank! Außerdem mit Geschirrspülmaschine! - Das allerbeste war jedoch der Whirlpool auf der Terasse. Das Zimmer war zum Inlet hin ausgerichtet. Und so konnten wir von unserer Terasse aus abends auf der anderen Seite des Inlets am Ufer einen Schwarzbären bei der Futtersuche beobachten! Absolut toll! Auch der Whirlpool war sehr schön und groß - und hatte außerdem richtig viele Sprudel-Düsen. - Wir hatten tolle 2 Tage dort und hätten gerne noch mehr Zeit dort verbracht. Echt een super mooi resort! hele mooie locatie. Uitzicht vanuit je eigen bubbelbad op je balkon... op een inham van de zee. Beter konden wij het niet bedenken. Heel leuk zijn de gratis kajakken die het hotel ter beschikking stelt. Ook in de omgeving is genoeg te doen en de twee nachten zijn echt omgevlogen!
