"OK in some ways"
Plus: Nice pool, solid Wi-Fi, good TV, clean, restaurant inside (though we did not eat there). Minus: very far from Vancouver, no microwave, uncomfortable pillows.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Adequate"
Hotel is generally clean but needs some TLC and touch up. Beds are old and sagging. WiFi is slow. Hallways often smell of cigarette smoke. Brunch is tasty and good value. Unfortunately, there are no really good hotels in the White Rock area. We tried staying on the beach and the trains ran all night. We have tried other hotels in the area but none are […] really nice. The Pacific is a stone's throw from the border crossing, so that makes it very convenient. Front desk staff is very helpful and friendly. Parking is free. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"vanity light"
This hotel is clean, convenient and it is quiet. The following issues need to be addressed: 1 - pillows old and lumpy 2 - light in bathroom not over mirror but to side - very difficult to see to shave 3-Smell - strong air freshener used - need to air out room on arrival 4-lack of business center - no place to print out boarding pass 5-vending machines […] only source of food in evening - location a bit isolated if no car available - these machines are not kept stocked. Staff best attribute - always friendly and helpful. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Pacific Inn- affordable and close to the beach"
We had a nice room, king size bed, coffee maker, fridge, etc. the usual amenities. Only problem was the heat and a/c didn't work, but the staff brought us a fan to cool the room down. They offered us an upgrade, but we declined since the weather was mild. I would recommend the pool and hot tub + dry sauna. Very nice atmosphere, Mexican villa style. […] Grotto around hot tub. The gym costs extra which, I think, is unnecessary. Overall, due to great price and proximity to border and White Rock promenade, very good deal. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Price and Location"
Despite the old cracked pink paint this hotel wasn't in too bad of shape. The pool area was relatively nice, and clean. The room was clean, bathroom was really small. The hotel is located a little over a mile or a couple of km over the US/Canada border, and a 5 minute drive to White Rock. If you're looking for a cheap place to stay near White Rock, […] this place isn't bad. For me it was better than paying the extra $50+ per night to stay on the beach. The location of the hotel in proximity to White Rock Beach and Center were the main selling points for me, and at the time the rate was right up my alley. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"nice but dated"
The room according to the email sent to me was to be for 5 people with 1 king bed and 2 queens. Arriving we were sent to a room with 2 queens, so we had to get a cot along with. There was an ice maker outside our room that was very noisy every 10 to 15 minutes, which wasn't good for sleep, especially since I had requested a quiet room with extra blankets, […] which we didn't get either. The bathroom had 2 towels and face cloths, although there were 5 of us, and 1 shampoo, conditioner and lotion. The hairdryer didn't work at all. So, all in all, we were not too happy with our stay. "Excellent service!"
We stayed at this hotel because we were attending a conference. It certainly is an interesting place, with a nice pool, hot tub and great sauna. The hotel would certainly score some extra points if they changed the carpet out in the hotel rooms and the fitness facility. We were very impressed with the front desk clerk who was super friendly, helpful […] and willing to meet out needs. She was probably the best front desk clerk that I have seen in a long time and certainly left me with a nice over all impressions of the hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beautiful hotel, horrible room"
This hotel was a paradox - beautiful common areas, lobby, pools with very clean changing rooms, great restaurants and very helpful staff. The room was an entirely different thing. Tiny, rock-hard beds so bad I had to see a chiropractor after two nights there. The shower head only let out a trickle of water and the bathroom lights blinked constantly. […] The bedding was very thin and worn, although it seemed clean enough. Only two flat pillows per queen bed. I would not stay there again, although I loved everything outside the room! "Pink Palace!"
Was Ok, Room was freezing even with the electric heater cranked. Thin mosquito netting blankets even with the one off the other bed was still frozen. 80/90's colour schemesGenuine Expedia guest review
The chlorinated swimming pool smell was too strong when entering the hotel. The breakfast not too special. Using individual creamers for coffee is very un-eco-friendly - so much plastic garbage. Noise in the hallways at 1 am. Otherwise, we enjoyed the room and the convenience of the hotel location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The best thing that the Pacific Inn has going for it is its pool and hot tub, both of which are nice. The staff were also quite friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the hotel itself is long overdue for renovations. Our room was nice, but the bed wasn't particularly comfortable (the mattress was a lot more firm than the average hotel mattress, which I […] suppose some people would like). Also, the mini-fridge was quite noisy, and we had to unplug it so we could sleep. The only food option in the immediate area is the Pacific Inn's restaurant, "Manyana". First of all, the very name of the restaurant is terrible. A word of advice to Manyana: If you don't think customers will be able to pronounce the word "Mañana" without phonetic spelling, just find a better name. Anyway, the butchering of an exotic-sounding Spanish word is a pretty good metaphor for the quality of their food. Overall, I'd say our stay at the Pacific Inn was pretty okay. "Easy freeway access"
I am unlikely to stay at this hotel again. The bath tub was black on the bottom. I refused to step in for a shower or bath, (room 362) There was no stopper in the bathroom sink. The furnishings were old, well used and very tired looking ... this hotel needs a make over! The king sized bed was hard and pillows quite flat.... overall quite uncomforta […] ble. "Great location!"
Pros- A great location close to the border, the beach and many amenities. Friendly staff that had a fridge put in our room when requested, promptly and at no charge. Cleaning staff did a great job of cleaning our room while we spent time at White Rock beach. Nice atmosphere in the hotel. Cons- Our room backed onto a noisy and busy Highway. The room […] floors need better vacuuming around the edges, found strange "bits" in two areas. Pool was murky but fun for the kids. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great amenities"
The hotel itself is beautiful, somebody put a lot of effort into their vision of how they wanted the hotel built years ago. It is well maintained and comfortable. Unfortunately the clerk checking us in was rude and abrupt. She commented immediately that she saw we booked through Expedia and said we should consider ourselves luck that we got such a low […] rate when the hotel was full of full-rate paying guests. When I mentioned that the website said either pool or mountain view, she snapped back that there's no way we could have a pool view room at the rate we got. She did not offer us the option to pay for an upgrade and we ended up in a freeway view room. The experience was redeemed slightly by us being allowed an early check-in, but the clerk once again mentioned she was doing us a huge favor by allowing an early check-in. Oddly enough, she and another clerk at the desk had no idea that the city's Spirit of the Sea Festival was on that weekend which probably contributed to the fact their hotel was so busy. We may be back, but on the merits of the hotel itself, obviously not the "friendly" service. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Pacific inn and conference center"
Well when ordering the room the pictures were very decieving the rooms looked very large and we booked the deluxe suite which said was two sperate room areas, the room we got had two double and very hard beds, there was crap on walls. The wall were very dirty the carpet was cut from floor it was a not nice room, at all if I was to suggest a room there […] i would tell them to check the room before you get settled we noticed more the next day with the light shining in...the front desk girl was great and same with the maid..but the rest not so good at all...and the service at the little restaurant very bad and dirty sticky table, but the food was good... "it's ok"
This hotel was sparsely occupied this night; it seemed like a white elephant. It has become a bit rundown since its glory days in the 90s. Nicknamed the "pink palace" for all the pastel hues in and out, it is decent value for money if you want a place with an indoor pool near lovely White Rock. Good Sunday buffet brunch at extra charge.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Ice cold"
The hotel was good overall but if the room was one degree colder I'm sure we could have seen our breath. There was only one little baseboard heater which we turned on high but didn't get warm until just before we left in the morning.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quite good"
The hotel was quite nice overall. The pool was excellent. The hot tub could have been a little hotter and the restaurant was a little slow but nothing to really complain about. I'd stay in this hotel again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The rooms could use some updating. Carpet was coming apart at a seam and fraying. Generally in need of some tlc.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Would likely go back"
The first two nights we stayed on the third floor and the room was very musty smelling, you could see where the sealing had water stains, possible mold, then for the last three we were moved to the second floor and the room was great.Genuine Expedia guest review
was very noisy at night due to a sports team staying at the same time we were. the walls felt paper thin.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pacific Inn"
The hotel was older. But still in moderate condition. Could be more upgraded. Only complaint we have is that our son cut his foot on the ceramic tile going into the bath room. The service provided to help our son with a bandaid was slow. The hotel only had tiny bandaids on hand. When we required a standard bandaid.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel, quiet and peaceful surroundings."
Enjoyed our stay. The hotel is getting older and we anticipated "The Pantry" cafe, but enjoyed our room generally. The beds were hard, bathrooms small and the hallways loud but the area is safe, the parking is good, the pool was nice and the service was good.Genuine Expedia guest review
"okay but not great"
disappointed the pool was closed for the one day. Used the hot tub only. Our room had water stains on the ceiling and our view was the freeeway. There was only 3 towels in our room when there were 4 of us staying in the room and no extra pillows which I had to ask for. Overall could use some work on the atmosphere.Genuine Expedia guest review
The location of the hotel is both a plus and a minus. It is very convenient for what I needed while in Whiterock, but one side of the hotel borders on a very busy highway down to Blaine, WA, and the inside rooms all front onto the pool and mezzanine area. With the glass being only single pane, ALL of the noise, either from the highway or the pool, ended […] up in the room, and I ended up with only about 4 hours of sleep. The first room I had was badly outdated, with new lighting and an upgraded bathroom definitely required. There is lots of space in the room, and it was clean. When I discovered my room wasn't going to warm up, and there was no functioning heater in the room, they were kind enough to transfer me to another room that had been upgraded, but the sound from the pool/mezzanine area didn't stop until around 2:30 AM, and started back up again at around 6 or 6:30. For these reasons, although the hotel looks great, and has lots of potential, I would NOT recommend it as a place to stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"If you dont have high expectations going in"
We read the reviews before hand and understood it was a bit rundown. We expected this going in and it was showing its age but have seen worse. We picked this hotel for the pool for the kids and it did not disappoint in this way, pool and hot tub/sauna area was great but no tables and chairs there like in the pictures. We brought a wii for the kids to […] play at night but the 1992 GE tv's did not have even an rca connection. When I talked to the front desk about this they could not have cared less. To sum up: We picked the hotel for the pool/family, it was good for this however if you don't care about pools, stay elsewhere. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"won't go back"
We wanted a hotel with a pool for the kids, this was nice, the staff was pleasant and reasonably organized. our room could have been cleaner, its very tired and needs an up date. it was not a bad experience, but not anything to get excited about. paint is cheep.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Fine choice"
We were there for just one night. We wanted a location close to the US border and an easy drive to the Vancouver airport. This location fit the bill perfectly and the hotel was fine, nothing great, but it was clean and the rooms were quite comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
