Had some issues with communication on check in, but staff was quick to correct everything when asked. The cleaning staff was very polite and came when we asked and left us alone when we asked. The room was clean when we arrived and the grounds were well kept in general. The pool was locked and we couldn't even get in the area to sit in the sun. excellent hotel with amenities and overall good value. Friendly hosts and very clean. Only problem was the (free) breakfast, food service and lounge which was not up to standards.(the value measure includes the free breakfast which was not up to par)

It was a good weekend away the staff seemed pleasant enough, altho on the Sunday morning there was no ketchup to have with the sausages and eggs which was a bit disappointing. Also the breakfast area is very small.

This hotel is obviously an older hotel, but the ownership is trying hard not to let it get 'run down.' Sure, it's not a fancy new hotel, it has outdoor hall ways and no elevators. But what makes this the best value is its the location. The hotel is about a block away from a main road (Marine Dr.) with numerous convenient bus routes. If driving to the […] mountains is more your speed, Capilano Rd takes you to one mountain, and a rt.1 on ramp is right around the corner. On the more practical side, the in-room fridge and microwave was nice. While the morning breakfast bar was not spectacular, it certainly had a good variety and reasonable quality. We enjoyed Vancouver a lot. I would like to suggest a few items that should be available in the hotel room. The bathroom needs a double hook to hung you clothes or towels - Also there should be at least one mirror outside the bathroom in the hotel room. it is very inconvient that it's only in the bathroom that there is a mirror.

This hotel is right across the Lion's Gate bridge, in North Vancouver. It's a great location. They have a small but adequate pool and laundry facilities. The only problem I had was with the card scanner at the door to my room. The card reader was a bit faulty so it was difficult to get into the room. You had to swipe the car "just so.". I over heard […] another guest at the front desk complaining about it. She thought her card was not working. It I found that the issue was actually the card readers. Aside from that, a great value. The North Vancouver Hotel is a very good place to stay if you don't mind motels. The room was clean and well maintained. The customer service was excelent. We had power failure when used the microwaive but it was fixed in few minutes. The only cons - the pancake maker didn't work for breakfast.

Excellent location and we appreciate the drive up to your room Motel style. We booked 3 nights but decided to stay one more night because we found it so convenient and comfortable. The breakfast menu was excellent. We loved the pancake machine which made perfect pancakes every time. Earl's and a wine store were walking distance - very convenient!

Rooms clean and relatively new decor but it is still a Motel style with doors on the outside and street noise nearby. WiFi in room free and quite fast. Bar fridge for drinks/food very nice to have. Free breakfast was decent. Staff was very friendly and I have no complaints.

This hotel has a nice location to get to more northerly parts of BC. The room was nice and not a problem. the people were courteous and helpful. My only problem was with the breakfast they offered. The room was too small for everyone to sit in and the food was greasy. It was hard to get around the area to choose food.

Road work started at 7:30 am on Friday. On Saturday, a guest had car problems that set off two car alarms. The staff were a little inexperienced. Staff did try to assign me to a quiet room without my asking and apologized for having to call me at 11 pm to correct a mistake they made with my credit card. The hotel staff were very accomadative and were extremely courteous. overall our stay was comfortable. This is our second stay at this hotel. It is close enough to vancouver downtown, grouse mountains, and the capilano bridge. They had a wonderful breakfast too.

An older hotel, very clean , could use some cosmetic updating, but convenient North Vancouver location. Vancouver transit half block away, within 1-2km of shopping malls, major site seeing destinations ( Capilano suspension bridge, Lynn Canyon, Stanley Park) all within a few kms. Very friendly helpfull staff, decent price, will stay here again.

Grouse Mountain, Capilano suspension bridge, Capilano provincial park hiking trails, Lynn Canyon suspension bridge and stanely park are all about a 5 minute drive or less from here. There was free breakfast every morning, including belgian waffles, hard boiled eggs, and more. The room was fine...only thing […] was that the overhead lights were really dim. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is no wireless internet in the rooms, only in the lobby, and some days it didn't work. There is wired internet connections in the room. decent breakfast, rooms were large, but nothing special. They allow dogs. If you have a dog they will try to put you in super smelly rooms. I had to argue a bit to be put into a "non smelly dog room". The 3rd room they offered me was smell free. The staff was good.

Very clean and comfortable room, better than I expected for North Vancouver. Rooms are equipped with a fridge and microwave.....I'd recommend bringing your own food for morning because the breakfast area is very tiny with not much choice for eats. Otherwise I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
