"Bad experience at the Waring House"
In general, I found the experience at the Waring House to be sub-par in the following ways: - We showed up at 6pm to the restaurant with 4 guests and 2 kids and were told that the wait would be about 20 minutes and we were coming up next. We waited until 630 and then said, "Can you call us in our room and we'll just wait there" which they agreed. We […] waited for an hour, called back to check on our spot and they said to call back in 20 minutes again. We then waited another 20 minutes and when we called back, they said they had given away our table. At 8pm, we gave up and had to go search for another restaurant down the road to eat. - we were woken up at about 730am on a Sunday to hear talking (it was loud enough that I could the specific gossip) that was coming from either other rooms or the SPA that we could hear easily. This continued until we got up fully around 930am. - We showed up around 955 for our free breakfast, and we were rudely informed that breakfast closed at 10am and that they would try to squeeze us in. We told the woman that no one told us such a thing. She told us she would have to check whether "the gas was still on". - At breakfast, we were seated at a table right next to a side door that guests were told they could exit. The space was so tight that my chair was shoved into the table by people exiting the restaurant. Apart from the paper-thin walls, the room was quite nice, the bed is comfortable and the bathroom has a full shower and big soaker tub. But for the high cost of the room, this is simply not good enough service and I would not recommend this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
