Hotel was very comfortable. Reception desk staff were very helpful at recommending places to eat, shortcuts etc. Only problem was the hotel's single restaurant. It's a bar/grill. This was a nice hotel. Everything looks fairly new and clean. This hotel probably caters more to an older crowd since there is a pub and outdoor restaurant. Shopping centre nearby and close to main highway which takes you straight into Victoria Inner harbour or straight to Nanaimo. "close to Victoria Goddess Half Marathon"
Our only complaint was that this hotel was listed as a "Hotel Partner" for the Victoria Goddess Half Marathon but none of the staff were aware of the event. Other than that the staff were extremely courteous, helpful and accommodating. Since the run's events wouldn't be over until after noon, there was no problem letting us have a late check-out time. […] We were then able to come back to the hotel, relieve our muscles in the hot tub and then go back to our room to shower before leaving. The hotel also shuttled us to and from the run. The staff were very helpful and accomodating, bringing us spoons for our baby, and storing a play pen for my family to pick up after check out. Our remote didnt work for the television unless you were really close, they brought us new batteries but that didnt help. The pool was nice, we had it to ourselves. There was also a steam room sauna hot tub […] and work out area. I was impressed with the workout room. The room itself wasnt anything out of the ordinary, the bedding kept coming loose from the bed. We were very happy with our room, it was very clean and comfortable. The area is a bit out of Victoria but that's what we were looking for. The neighbourhood is easy to find your way around and we found two places we would definatly eat again. The only thing if you want to have a bathtub in your room you have to request a room with one other then that […] the shower was huge and very clean.
