"Great place to stay!"
I love Victoria and love to stay at places that are close to the town, but not in the town. Pau's Motor Inn was a great surprise! Clean, friendly, convenient, and great food in the restaurant. loved this little place! it was perfect for what i needed. i took a west coast trip from the middle of california all the way up to Victoria by myself and this place took good care of my weary traveling bones. my room was in the back courtyard which was nice and private and quiet! my room was clean and comfy. the staff was very nice. the front desk […] lady had some issues while checking me out that were quite irritating, but nevertheless, she got me out of there and all was well. the location is great, everything is in walking distance. didn't care too much for the food in the diner, so i only ate there twice out of convenience. but all in all, i would stay here again! "Great place on a budget!"
Hotel was nothing fancy, but it was clean, safe, and comfortable, with mini fridge, but no microwave. Location is about a 10 min walk to the touristy stuff instead of in the middle of it for twice the cost. Hotel also has an attached "drive in" restaurant which was great food, great price. "Reasonable costs for comfortable accommodation."
My only complaint about my stay is the presence of SEAGULLS SQUAWKING any time of the day or night. Early morning wake-up calls unnecessary as the gulls do it! I was told that the city is trying to deal with the problem throughout the city!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

We stayed twice in Paul's Motor Inn and the rooms were always very clean. The hotel is located very close to Victoria's center (~10-15min walk) and is easily accessible with a car. "Cheap and cheerful."

"Perfect location and great value for money"
I was in town for the weekend and didn't want to rent a car so needed a hotel close to a work venue and this met the need. The hotel may be a little old and old fashioned but the hotel on site served great food at great hours. The immediate area was a little intimidating but safe enough and just a few minutes walk to great restaurants and shopping. […] The only concern I would have staying here again would be if I was there at the peak of the summer as there is no air conditioning but the beginning of May it was perfect. It was great having a safe and a mini-fridge in the room. And the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.
