Recommended for value, comfortable, stylish standard of room and friendly helpfulness of staff. Fairly close to shops, restaurants etc. Only drawback is the steep hill to get back up to the Scenic Suites from Queenstown shops, etc, if walking and unfit! "Scenic Suites - affordable luxury."
We wanted a luxurious apartment at an affordable price and we definitely got it staying at the Scenic Suites. We opted for a one bedroom apartment and were surprised to get an amazing view of Queenstown. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend. "Great room but not the best location"
We stayed in a superior room at the Scenic Suites for three nights recently and found the rooms to be as comfortable and modern as shown in the photos. Bed was comfortable, the room was a good size and very clean, and the bathroom was spacious and modern. Staff was very friendly. We had views of The Remarkables mountain range from our balcony but we […] had the blinds closed most of the time because it faced a busy street and didn't feel very private. So if you like a bit of privacy I would advise requesting a room which does not face Stanley Street. It was quiet in the room when the balcony doors were closed and we slept very well at night. One other consideration is the location. It is a quick five-minute walk downhill to the centre of town but it is quite a steep walk uphill back to the hotel. I think next time I would book somewhere nearer to the restaurants and cafes – such as the Novotel (which I didn't book because I read a review about the average quality of the rooms, but regretted when I was in the area because it is tucked away and next door to some of the nicer restaurants and cafes such as Botswana Butchery, Eckhart's and Boatshed cafe.
