"Great place... near the airport"
We were immediately happy with the staff who were extremely courteous and helpful. Our room was beautiful, well kept and just like the pictures. The hotel was within 10 mins of downtown Atlanta so we were able to easily get to our destination every day. The morning breakfast was great and they had a menu which we ate dinner from one night that was very […] good (though more light fare than usual for dinner). The main downside was the proximity to the airport. Planes take off and land just about ever 1-2 mins. You are so close that you can hear them in your room at all hours of the night. We did bring our sleepmate noise machine, and it drowned some of it out, but not all. However, with time, the noises became just like all others and faded out. Liked the modern feel of the hotel, staff were all super friendly. Was able to get in the room on time and it was clean and well appointed. A little disappointed in the breakfast, only free breakfast we ever went to with glass plates and real silverware, but it was taking away from the staff getting the food out. We flew in for a weekend family/football game. The shuttle to/from the airport made it very convenient for everyone to get to the hotel, and also the MARTA station at the airport. The staff was fantastic! What wasn't so great: the hotel is a little "tired" around the edges; however, it appears upgrades are in the works (elevators are being done soon). […] It would also be beneficial if the hotel changed their web-page to explain the shuttle service - it only runs twice an hours (5 and 35 after), and not on demand. If I had known there was a 30 minute wait (I just missed the shuttle the first time), I would have gotten a cab instead of waiting (it was very late when I arrived). Then the "new hyped" breakfast was a great disappointment! The breakfast sandwiches appeared to have been cooked quite some time back, and then microwaved! I booked a room for 115 with two queens. I checked in after long transatlantic flight and received a small room with two twin beds. This room had a huge TV, but a tiny bathroom without a partition for a large sitting room. Also, there was a starbucks in the lobby, but no complementary breakfast. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The service is good and the staff is friendly and helpful. The one drawback was the steep entry to their parking lot. It should be leveled off. "Close to airport, comfy rooms"
This is as close as you can get to the ATL-Hartsfield Jackson airport without sleeping on the runway. There are at least a dozen or so hotels clumped together in a new development just off airport property. All the hotels are new and nice. This Hyatt Place was nice. Our room had a small living room area. The area the hotel is located in is fairly boring […] at night. There are only hotels and a couple of restaurants in the area, but it's a safe and clean area. This Hyatt Place operates a shuttle to and from the airport. My only major complaint is that the shuttle does not run at 4:00am and I had to pay for a taxicab to the airport. The hotel was great. The only isssue was the shuttle bus driver to/from the airport did not indicate there was two Hyatt Place hotels within a couple miles. We actually boarded the wrong bus and were taken to the wrong hotel. The driver wanted to return to the airport, unload/reload and return to the correct hotel. This was quite a production traveling […] in the winter with two small children. After much discussion the original driver took us to the correct hotel. Will recommend.
