"New carpet and clean"
We had a room (#108) that was roomy and clean with new carpet. Easy in and easy out. Quiet, although hotel was mostly empty. Free breakfast was nothing special but satisfied our hunger before we got on the road again. We would stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A good base camp"
The hotel provided a good base to explore Penticton as well as Kelowna area. The room was spacious and the hotel convenient to downtown Penticton. The staff was attentive; the breakfast adequate though the coffee only so-so. (We found a Starbuck's downtown the 2nd morning). "Somewhat disapointed"
The lighting in the room was bad, the noise from upstairs was bad, the bathroom had no sink as it was in the main room and it had too little space for two people to have their toilet articles on it. "Not what I expected"
The photos are way nicer than the real thing.The water glasses were plastic, the carpets and furniture are more than 20+ years old.Smelled like carpet fresh when I first walked in(I and my son are fragrance sensitive).The beds were uncomfortable and I was concerned about the 'health' of the mattress and pillows.The sink was in the room, not the bathroom […] and it had no counter space.Washroom was clean however.Paper thin walls were paper thin.The TV was old CRT and was cheaply bought 20 years ago, couldn't even read the lisiting channels as it was too blurry.The breakfast room uses plastic folding tables from costco (no tablecloths), no fresh fruit with breakfast, only canned.This is despite being in the fruit growing belt of BC. Coffee was passable but no cream for my coffee on day 2, simply a carafe of 2% milk they tried to pass off as cream. Bagels, toast, boiled eggs, 3 cereals, english muffins and danish rounded out the mediocre selection along with basic peanut butter, cream cheese, jam and honey for spreads all in single serve containers. All the cutlery was plastic and the plates paper and no recycling was provided for any of this. The indoor pool was too cold too. I didn't risk going in past waist deep. AS I was leaving I had to witness a guest tell the front desk woman to stop being confrontational and just process his bill. "A great place to stay"
The Days Inn is conveniently located to many attractions in Penticton. It's directly across from the Channel and down the road from Loco Landing. Also a short walk to the beach and several restaurants. Lots of parking and great indoor and outdoor pools. The Black Iron Grill is superb. The fitness area desperately needs more space and mirrors on the walls. I work out regularly, but could not bring myself to exercise in that little room. We were very unsatisfied because room we got was not suitable to be rented to anyone. I came to my vacation and my window is right beside the restaurant - you cannot open even the curtain not to mention the window. The bed was AWFUL - couldn't sleep at all. We had an outdated T.V. but it did work, bed was comfortable, pillows were too. The cleaning staff did not change the bed sheets in our 6 day stay, so this was very disappointing. Was a great hotel with a wonderful location, close to everything and yet not on a very busy road. Front desk was very helpful and the breakfast was much appreciated. My only negative was that the top sheet on the bed had a few stains on it, and the pools were very cold, but I'm sure in the hotter months it's much more appropriate. My son-in-law and I spent a couple of nights at the Days Inn and were generally pleased with our stay. The room was large, bright, and clean; Wifi internet was good; breakfast was available in the morning. Wished we could have booked an actual room. We were put on the second floor - no elevator, had to walk up a flight of stairs, then go outside to find our room. I was quite disappointed with my stay at the Days Inn. After receiving rude treatment at check in, I discovered my room had not been properly cleaned (there were half dissolved mystery pills on the counter - thank goodness I was not traveling with children!) In addition, my room was not cleaned at all before my second night, which I unfortunately discovered […] too late at night to be able to do anything about. The room I was in was also not well set up, as it was lacking accessible power outlets everywhere but by the sink. This meant that I had to chose between having my laptop plugged in and easy sink access. The table present in the room was also not one I could comfortably work on. I have traveled extensively for both work and pleasure, and must say this hotel did not meet my expectations for the star rating and price. "Dont stay on the lower level"

We couldn't believe the location! This hotel is at the heart of everything; whether you're taking off for a bike ride, walking along the beach, going for dinner or floating down the canal, it's all within reach. Hours for the pools escaped us on numerous occasions as we were fully engaged in the lake lifestyle and couldn't manage to get back in time […] for a hot soak before bed but...that's not their fault, you don't want kids running around the pool courtyard later than 9 anyway. Looked good on paper! We arrived to find out we needed to request a ground floor room (which we had online already....my wife was on crutches). They did accommodate us but gave us the furthest room available.
