"Flight from Marrakech"
Booked at last minute as a bolt hole from Marrakech. Relaxing. Beautiful location grounds and views. Very secure. Food sometimes surprising (eg brains) but lots of choice although a little repetitive. Our favourite restaurant shut down at 6pm. Not cheap but roomy and a welcome escape. "The best beds in the world"
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff at this hotel. Whether we needed a parasol by the pool or extra bottled water in our rooms, all requests were dealt with efficiently by friendly and courteous staff. Our 5 day stay began with a complimentary pick-up from our hotel in Marrakech. Charming and helpful driver. Warm welcome from reception staff. […] The hotel exudes luxury - high ceilings make a show of the light and natural building materials of wood and stone and the views from the reception area over the outdoor pool, gardens and golf course are magnificent. Bedrooms are spacious and calm and all have outdoor terrace with furniture, so we could watch sunset from the comfort of our own room. HUGE bath and separate shower The beds are to die for - the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Whilst breakfast was a treat as well as a feast for the eyes, I found the buffet dinner less so, though good. We didn't get an opportunity to sample the food in the a la carte restaurant because the night we had earmarked (our last night) it was closed - our fault for not reading the information! At the end of our stay we were given another complimentary transfer to Marrakech airport and a member of staff ensured the air conditioning was working and that we had bottled water for the journey. What wonderful service! The hotel, its staff and its facilities really helped us to relax . We would definitely return. Niggles? Of course, but nothing really worth mentioning. Un très très belle hôtel, la décoration est vraiment tendance et chaleureuse. Il est magnifiquement bien placé, une belle balade à pied en passant par le grand golf, nous amène directe sur la plage. "Probablement bien pour les golfeurs?????"
Certes cet hôtel rentre dans la catégorie des beaux hôtels mais, alors qu'il n'est ouvert que depuis 2011, il souffre déjà de finitions dégradées comme si tout avait été réalisé à la va-vite, dommage! La vue sur le golf et très au loin, l'océan, semble être de rigueur pour toutes les chambres mais l'hôtel est un peu perdu dans la "pampa" et balayé par […] un vent permanent, très violent qui finit par lasser. Le service n'est pas à la hauteur d'un 5*luxe malgré une présence constante de l'encadrement très réactif mais qui ne peut pas tout. La propreté des chambres laisse à désirer. Côté restauration, 3 possibilités, l'Atlantique et l'Atelier des Arômes, très bien, service attentionné, le café Kasbha, buffet sans réel intérêt. Attention, à votre arrivée et bien que votre séjour ait déjà été débité (Expédia) on vous demande une pré-autorisation CB d'un montant excessif. Ne vous faites pas avoir comme moi et tous les autres car au moment de partir, impossible de l'annuler!!!! Bref, séjour reposant mais qui ne restera pas dans mes annales...... "Bel hôtel avec un service très médiocre"
Bel hôtel, personnel très agréable mais pas professionnel du tout. Il en résulte une qualité de service très en dessous du standard Sofitel. Notre chambre n'était pas prête à notre arrivée à 16 heures 30. Le deuxième jour, notre chambre n'a été faite que vers 18 heures, avec les excuses de la femme de chambre. L'attente aux restaurants est extrêmement […] longue pour les consommations. Les plats chauds du buffet sont décevants. Le resultat d'une commande est très dependant du moment où vous la passerez et du personnel qui s'en chargera: cela peut être très bien mais aussi très quelconque. "séjour au SOFITEL Essaouira"
Nous avons séjourné dans cet hôtel du 9 au 18 mars 2012. Le site est très agréable, toutes les chambres ont vue sur le golf et l'océan. Un immense parc permet de se ballader en toute tranquilité. La décoration de l'hôtel est très désign, en revanche les finitions laissent parfois à désirer. Cet hôtel de construction récente présente des signes de fatigue […] (cache prise et linoléum arrachés et taché ,taches d'humidité dans notre chambre), Le personnel est très disponible et à l'écoute des clients. Gros bémol au restaurant l'atelier des arômes : le nougat de foie gras nous a été servi par 2 fois avec du film alimentaire ce qui est inadmissible dans un restaurant gastronomique. SPA rapport qualité excessif d'autant plus que l'accès au hammam nous a été facturé alors que nous avions un soin à la même heure. Avis mitigé sur le personnel au hammam . Accueil différent selon les personnes. Nous avons été un peu déçus du rapport qualité prix de ce SOFITEL par rapport aux autres SOFITEL dans lesquels nous avons déjà séjournés.
