River Rock Casino Resort

Just the pool was worth it for any families with kids. The kids LOVED the 70-foot slide. It's like Great Wolf Lodge without the crowd. We had a 1-BR suite facing the marina. It was very nice and comfortable. Skytrain Bridgeport Station is connected to the hotel - $2.75 one-way to downtown Vancouver in 15 min. No parking, no traffic - can't beat it. […] Casino was not too crowded. Drinks were little pricey ($8 for a beer) at the casino - but then I won so it's okay. :) The 4-story garage is adjacent to the hotel. Free parking was a bonus. Only complaint - Wi-Fi did not work in our room and no Wi-Fi pool side. We were able to connect with an Ethernet cable in the room and they comped our breakfast. I absolutely love the hotel, amenities, and location. The only downfall is the parking. Parking is complimentary though it is far from the hotel and the closer parking costs. Other then that no complaints

Hotel was awesome! Front desk staff was very friendly and room was great! The only thing that got annoying was having to show 2 I.D.'s to get into the casino if you are from out of the country. They should have a stamp or wristband or something if they've already checked it. They barely have anything complimentary unlike all other casino resorts we […] have been to. We stayed at the hotel one night and had two rooms for ourselves (with two young kids) and my parents. The casino was a great option because my parents could hit the casino and we could hit the pool with the kids. We also caught the buffet, which was not the best, but OK for the price, and they have low prices for the kids. Would stay again.

This Resort Hotel had everything that I wished for: A casual lounge on the main floor where I waited for my grandson to play poker, a very nice buffet dinner for a reasonable price, and a spacious swimming pool and jaccuzi. Very comfortable king bed. There are apparently no two bed options, but a couch in the other room was used by my grandson.

Very good customer service, we were even upgraded to a suite room without asking for it... everyone was helpful with questions... my kids as always enjoys the indoor pool while adults likes the hot tub... this is our third time of staying in this hotel and so far service is very consistent... we just hope they have wifi in the room since my mcbook air […] has no port for a wired internet, i need to go to third floor or the lobby and as for an access code just to have a wifi connection... Before booking this hotel, I asked hotels.com how many bathrooms they have within a 2-bedroom suite. I was told that they have 2 and 1/2's. I also enquired if they have a laundry room for guests and I was told that they do have one. When I checked in, I had a surprise that the suite only has 1 bathroom and no laundry room. I had to switch to 2 single […] rooms in order to have 1 more bathroom. Fortunately, the hotel staff were so nice and very helpful in exchanging the rooms for me even if it is not their fault. Other than that, the parking is a bit far from the hotel. Too many people smoking outside whenever we walked pass by on the way to the parkade. The room condition is excellent in general except we don't know how to adjust the thermostat. The rooms are very clean and they have very good service, very polite. Read more

Fire alarm went off for over an hour. We had to walk down from the 9th floor and up again because the elevators shut down due to fire alarm. My 82 year old grandpa had to walk this to.

How awesome! This is the best bet for a place to stay in Vancouver. We left the car on the island and took public transit the entire time. The bus goes right from the ferry to the hotel and then the Sky Train is right there! Perfect! And you do not have to be a "gambler" to stay here. It is quiet and they take good care of you. The train is super convenient and we took it to science world, and downtown which saved us having to drive and get our car out of valet. the biggest downside was the lack of good food in the area, you couldn't really walk to any fun, good restaurants, and the casino has a great buffet (breakfast buffet is unbeatable for the value), but I didn't want to eat there every time. We were looking for a dog friendly weekend getaway close to home (we live in North Vancouver) and settled on the River Rock. They don't go out of their way to advertise that they are pet friendly, and many people were taken aback when they saw us with our dog. We constantly heard "they allow dogs here! I wish I knew, I would have brought mine!" The […] hotel lobby is not super easy to find (it's on the second level) and there's no driveway area for guests to pull into temporarily (the valet would not let us pull in without paying) while they check in, so we parked in the parkade which is a fair walk away. We had to make two trips with our luggage and dog. The room itself was very nice (a king suite), however the bed was almost too soft and the pillows were almost too thick. The hotel itself was VERY BUSY due to being attached to the casino. The trek from our room in the West tower, to the pool in the East tower took us down two elevators and straight through the main lobby (which can get very busy especially at night) -- not the most pleasant experience walking through hordes of casino goers in a robe with soaking we hair! we wished the pool had a more discreet entrance. In terms of our dog, he had a ball. The grounds offer plenty of grass and a small boardwalk area for morning and evening outings. Additionally, McDonald Beach next to the airport is off leash. We went there more than 6 times during our weekend stay. I wouldn't pay the full advertised price for this hotel, but if you can find a deal, it's worth it! Read more

The hotel is in a quiet loation, but still close to other places if you have a car. The valet parking is convenient and the fee is reasonable. Plus if you like casinos, this is LV style that really has all the glitters.
