Situated within the Vancouver International Airport (YVR), the Fairmont is easily accessible to downtown Richmond and downtown Vancouver from the Canada Line Skytrain.

Relatively soundproof with fun views of runways and mountains, the hotel is great for an overnight stay. Pool is underwhelming and funky looking. Very good hotel, especially if being at (in!) the airport is important. We had a 7 am flight the next morning and the transition from room to check in could not have been easier. Rooms are very nice, but we are a family of 4 and the bathroom door and the bathroom's "indoor window" to the rest of the room was a bit awkward. Very quiet considering that […] jets are outside your window- the soundproof construction really works. I rated staff slightly lower because the concierge on duty was new to the city. She was helpful, but not very effective. Also, the restaurant was quite busy on that Saturday night and the servers were a bit overworked. The food was very, very good though. The hotel rooms are comfortable, quiet, equipped with black out curtains so you can sleep during daylight hours ,if necessary. Staff are friendly and welcoming. It is such treat to simply walk across to check in to the airlines. The only criticism I have is that, although it is available, wi-fi was an extra charge . The hotel was very quiet, couldn't hear planes taking off or landing. The staff was very nice.The bathroom was very odd. The sliding, plantation doors did not come close to closing. "Overall Excellent EXCEPT the Pool"
I would suggest Fairmont to scrap the pool as it is more like a bigger jacuzzi than a pool which was a real disappointment...For the convenience, we have chosen this hotel as our flight leaves early morning. We were dissapointed with our last stay. We stay at the Fairmont often before and after travel. We arrived late and wanted something to eat the room service menu was so minimal we ordered nothing on top of that we were given a room that had no refreshment center along with no cream for coffee in the morning. バンクーバーの滞在日数が２日しかなく、しかも、帰国のフライトが午前２時過ぎなのを勘案して、ダウンタウンでなく、Fairmont Vancouver Airportを選びました。ダウンタウンへの移動は、Canada Lineを利用すれば問題はなかったですし、帰国手続の為のカウンターがオープンする午後１０時頃までスーツケースを預かってもらえるというのは、非常に助かりました。ホテルとしては申し分ないのですが、インターネットが別料金であること、並びに、家族での利用とは言え、トイレで用を足している時の音が聞こえる部屋の構造には、抵抗がありました。Genuine Expedia guest review
"非常に快適、かつ便利な空港ホテル"
バンクーバー国際空港の中にある空港ホテルで、空港到着後のアクセスは非常に楽でした。ビジネス目的で5泊ほど宿泊しました。ホテルのフロントの対応も良く、ダウンタウンへのアクセス方法などを丁寧に教えて頂くことができました。午前11時ごろにホテルに到着したのですが、部屋が空いているからと、early check-inを無料でしていただくことができました。またホテルのフロントの方曰く、日本語を話せるスタッフもおられるそうです。 部屋に関しては、1日目は航空機が深夜まで発着する滑走路側の部屋で、かなりうるさく、ほとんど寝られませんでした。そこで部屋の変更をホテルのフロントの方に願い出ると、滑走路反対側の角部屋に変えてくださり、そこからは非常に快適に過ごすことができました。 ルームサービスやホテルのアメニティに関しては、非常に良かったと思います。部屋も毎日きれいにしていただき、非常に快適でした。また毎日、部屋へ新聞も届けていただき、現地の情報を得ることもできました。 市街地へのアクセスは、SkyTrainで20から30分程でダウンタウンへと辿り着くことができるので、そこまで不便さは感じられませんでした。しかし、乗車券の値段が2-zone分の料金+$5ほどするので、もし短期の滞在で、空港と街中を往復するのであれば、空港内の7-elevenでSkyTrainのDay […] Passを購入しておくほうが良いかもしれません。 あと空港ホテルならではの特徴として、出国24時間前から、航空券のWeb check-in(Air Canada)をホテルの中から容易に行うことができました(Web check-in用のmanualがある)。Web check-inにより、帰りのフライトでは、非常口近くの前方に広いスペースのある座席を得ることができました。印刷機もホテル内にあり、この点は非常に便利が良かったです。 ただ数点、不満もありました。部屋のドリンクバーの確認が毎日行われておらず、前日宿泊したひとの飲料代をcheck out時に請求されかけました(ホテルのフロントの方に事情を説明したところ、飲んでいないなら払わなくていいよと、代金は免除していただきました)。また1回だけですが、使用済みの小さいタオルの回収を忘れておられたこともありました。 以上のような不満もありましたが、非常に快適に過ごすことができました。またバンクーバーに行くことがあれば利用したいと思っています。 Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
