"Reason for shortened stay"
I was in Vancouver from 8/01-8/08. I stayed at HIE the first 2 nights. When I tried to book for the last 3 nights the price went up considerably for the room...to the point where I had to look/book elsewhere. I was sorry to see that happen.Genuine Expedia guest review
"I sleep hot"

Please improve breakfast with increased variety... After 3 days of rubber eggs shaped like taco shells I found a decent $5.99 breakfast in the neighborhood coffee shop... Also, room #217 needs a new hand-held shower head - Home Depot and Lowe's have some good ones - preferrably with incresed water pressure!!! Also, was there some reason I was placed […] in a "handicap" room with an advance, pre-paid reservation? Your thoughtfulness provided me an exceptional view of the parking lot!!!And thank you for the surprise: the desk has a fake drawer... Less maintenance I suppose!!! The pool was especially refreshing since no screaming kids could be found within 500 yards!!! Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay and I shall return once again to enjoy breakfast at Shari's Coffee Shop and, can you believe it? Shari's has genuine coffee mugs for their coffee!!! The hotel itself was great - new, clean, comfortable, great service. The fitness room was nicer than usual, and the free breakfast was pretty good! My one complaint is that I chose this hotel in part because its name leads you to believe it's close to Vancouver Mall. Since I was dropped off and picked up the next morning with no car while I was there, […] I was hoping I could walk to the mall to get a bite to eat and maybe go shopping during the evening; however, it turns out that mall is a mile away! Fortunately, my ride there was willing to go driving to help me find some takeout to bring back with me, but it was frustrating to be stuck in the hotel with no good nearby restaurant or shopping options.
