It's a very good room for the price. It's in a quiet environment with several other hotels around. It's very convenient to find a restaurants street few blocks a way. next to the motel there are some fast-food, convenience store and a starbucks. We are on a road-trip and find this place just to stay overnight. Noone is gonna come to bother during stay […] and check-in/out process is very easy. "Older, but clean and well maintained."
It was a decent place to stay. Wifi worked fine. Close to stores and restaurants. It is kind of tucked off of the main road, but still just a short walk to fast food or sit down dining, and a strip mall area. Free breakfast was very basic. Bread, jelly, a toaster, orange juice, and some pre-packaged muffins. But hey, that is better than nothing. Room was non-smoking but there was a slight smell of smoke in the room and a stronger smell in the bathroom. Some jerk probably got his death stick fix with the fan on thinking it wouldn't leave a smell. Uncontentious […] smokers make the world stink like they do. Room had a fridge and a microwave. I was happy with my stay. We were just spending the night to sleep and get back on the road the next day. The price was reasonable, the desk workers were nice enough, the room was clean, the place was quiet, they provided us with lots of towels and lots of soaps and shampoos. only stayed one night here, from about 9pm to 9am. Just needed a place to sleep and shower. Only downer was they required a hundred dollar hold on my credit card as a damage deposit. The price is more than perfect for this room. The front desk clerk does need a little cheer in his life. Not the most friendliest when you try to engage in a conversation. This hotel is close to I205 - very easy to locate. I had a quiet, comfortable room complete with fridge and microwave. I felt very safe in the neighborhood. "Good value, family operated motel"
I was looking for an economical place to stay while waiting for my apartment to be ready. I checked all of the hotels in the area and this one had the best rate. It is a family operated motel and from the outside does not look quite as nice as the Extended Stay next door or others but the rooms are sufficiently sized for a motel, the carpet and wals […] in good shape, average beds but it's clean and there is plenty of hot water and good wi-fi. Rooms have microwave and refrigerator (a coffee maker would be nice), I understand they have a small breakfast offering in the office but I have my own stuff. AC/Heat work well. "Not the best, but not bad either"
All in all, it was a pretty good hotel. The staff was nice, the rooms were clean, and it was within easy walking distance to the MAX (public transit train) to get into downtown. The only complaint I had about the actual hotel is that there weren't enough electrical outlets for the hotel. They provide a coffee maker, a mini-fridge, and a microwave, […] and you could only use two of the devices at a time, and only one if you bring something of your own to plug in (like a laptop, for example.) The other complaint is about the restaurant attached to the hotel. Normally I would not include the restaurant in a hotel review, but the hotel strongly encouraged the guests to eat there for breakfast. The restaurant's food was far from satisfactory, though the staff were nice there too. So, all in all, not the best hotel I've ever stayed at, but far from the worst. This hotel was clean and reasonable for the price. We were just looking for a place close to Portland to sleep when we arrived in town and before heading out on a road trip. It's not fancy at all, but for a comfortable quiet place to sleep, it did the trick. I was a bit disappointed that "continental breakfast" turned out to be some pre-packaged muffins […] and a half gallon or orange juice next to the cash register.
