I have stayed at this hotel annually for five consecutive days, over the last ten years. Last year I experienced a very noisy upstairs neighbor..loud thumping and loud music late into the night. I called the front desk and the clerk told me she wou,d contact them immediately. I knew she had when the music got louder and the increased persistency in […] the thumping on the floor. I called the manager back asking if she could move them. she said she could move me but not them. On my most recent stay, the outside trash receptacles were overflowing on my arrival, and it was not unti, two days later when I asked the clerk to empty them that they were taken care of. There were guests there who I think were temporarily living there. Their kids ran all over the hallway at all hours of the night. they had a dog odd lead that actually barged into our room at 6:00 am as I walked out. I learned earlier not to complain, so I just took it this trip. The employees are wonderful and they do their best, but it appears the financial resources are limited. For next year, I will inquire about these concerns before booking. I will give it one more try, unless I find another property with a comparable rate. rooms were immaculate, spacious, and the room service was excellent! Read more

Stay was ok until we got up in the morning and my wife was getting ready and found out that the outlet in the bathroom area did not work. We called the front desk and told them that we need someone to check it and they said the would put a note in for Maintance. tv's from the 1980's hit down on the remote and goes down the first time then goes up the 2nd so 2 channels back and fourth. stayed 2 nights nobody cleaned our room. hot tub was broken. stains on the curtains. had to push the door or it would have not automatically lock. was ok but i expected more.

Generally good for the price Room size adequate. Sparsely furnished. Two comfortable queen beds with good bedding. HVAC was fairly quiet compared to many low end motels. Very small, but typical bar soap in bath. Facility is next to Fwy and easy to find. Freeway noise was not a problem. Gripes: Selections of TV channels (availability) is very limited […] and poor. I didn't view any pay for view movies, but the selection was very limited. TV Picture quality of many stations was also fuzzy. They were working on the problem while I was there and picture quality improved somewhat, but was never good. Limited parking with many trailers occupying parking places. It made finding a place to park difficult. A listing of nearby restaurants would have been helpful, but many fast food places are within sight of motel. If there was a listing in the room, I didn't find it. The continental breakfast was on the very low end of the scale. Packaged rolls and bagels. Packaged dry cereal. A waffle machine with no instructions, but not hard to figure out. Juice machine was good. Some fruit and healthier food would help. Nightstand lamp should have an electrical outlet for charging or accessory use on nightstand. I see this in most hotels, but not here. I suspect that the place has not been upgraded for many years. Nothing special but not bad, great for a basic overnight pan a longer trip - not where I would spend the bulk if my vacation by any means but would not stop from staying there again if I was going to the area.

When we booked the room, we checked to make certain that they had a wheelchair accessible room. They clerk assured us they did, BUT she failed to mention that you can't get into the lobby to register if you are in a wheelchair!!! NO RAMP into the lobby! The room was OK and worked fine. The rooms were small to navagate a wheel chair comfortably, the beds were very hard. We slept horribly and were stiff . The pool was extremely cold, but was able to swim once we were accustomed to the temperature. The sauna was not warm. But we heard my sons beds were comfortable. The breakfast was great and the service was very good.

The hallways had a musty smell. Our room smelled smoky when we first went in, even though we had a non-smoking room. Sheets were clean, but blanket on the bed had stains. Fridge had not been cleaned. Housekeeping was ok, but not great. Fine to stay one night, but not a top choice.

I went out of my way to enjoy the Shilo experience but found that all Shilo's arent equal. While the stay was acceptable, the amenities and nice touch was missing. The sink faucet stuck and sprayed water all over when it released. The toiletries were lacking and not comparable to other Shilo Inns. The breakfast was also limited.

Hotel needed to switch us rooms because of noisy kids upstairs...new room was smaller and not as clean. Although non smoking hotel, you have to walk through the area that all the smokers( and there were a lot ) hang out in to get into the hotel. Rooms smelled funny and weren"t that clean, breakfast was small. Most of the staff helpful.
