"Not happy"
I stayed there and complained about my room not being cleaned properly. I complained to the front desk several times only to have them keep putting it off on someone else. check out day they finally gave me a discount of $16 after staying for two nights in a dirty room. "La Quinta - Vancouver"
We had to exchange two rooms. One due to maintenance in the middle of doing something in the bathroom and one of beds not made/ Second room, lots of hair on one of the queen beds foot cover and a/c,heater, not working. Very helpful staff. Nice room, but would have liked the window to open for that great Pacific Northwest cooler air! (We live in the desert.) This hotel looked nice in the pictures. I reserved 2 rooms. One smelled musty and the other smelled like cigarettes. The sheets did not fit on the bed and the walls in the room were marked up and the carpeting was badly stained. Since I have a rather large SUV parking was a problem. "A hidden gem"
It was not in any downtown, but it was in a great location by the interstate yet quiet, clean neighborhood with plenty of shopping within 1-2 minutes drive. "Less than I thought possible..."
I was so disappointed with my stay. From all the online reviews I really thought I had struck gold. The front desk was staffed by young girls with little skill and canned answers. My room was filthy! I called to ask for a new room and I was told the hotel was completely full. It wasn't. I asked to have my room clean and it was vacuumed with a 1970's […] relic that didn't do a good job. the cleaning crew spoke no english except "it's ok" and tried to tell me things were clean. I stripped my own bed, handed them the sheets and told them "new". I asked them and the front desk for an extra blanket and didn't get it. I finally went to the cleaning staffs supply room and got my own and a box of Kleenex because the one in my room looked like it had been dropped in water. My bathtub had hari in it. The pool was old and didn't look well kept. The breakfast was ok but they ran out of stuff constantly. The coffee machine broke and they had no coffee. Other guests left to go to Starbucks. "Watch your car windows!"
When I booked this hotel through hotell.com I was assured that there was a full breakfast. I was put on hold for ten minutes while they contacted the hotel! Lo and behold here was the choice for breakfast: plain bagels, white or brown bread, apples, yogurt with Splenda, rubber eggs (you could play a full game of tennis without any marks on the egg), […] cornflakes and two other none discript cereals, waffles. So if you are watching what you eat, don't eat here. The pillows were hard and lumpy, the bathroom floor was filthy (I accidentally spilt some water and used one of the hotels white towel which was black after I wiped up the water. The pool should not be advertised as a pool as you cannot do any type of swimming due to the size and configuration. The first. Night we were there, the car beside us had the passenger window smashed out. When I told the lady at the front desk, her response was "It happens a lot, due to the economy". As you can imagine I will not be returning to this or any other La Quinta as they do not appear to care for their guests! I hope you put this review so people can be made aware before booking!
