Location.
Located on the north bank of the Columbia River, the Heathman Lodge in Vancouver, Wash., has the look and feel of a secluded mountain lodge, but is one-half mile from Westfield Shoppingtown Vancouver. The hotel is three-and-one-half miles from Portland International Airport and Fort Vancouver National Historic Site. The hotel is less than five miles from the Portland Meadows Racetrack.
Hotel Features.
The wood paneling, slate floor and large stone fireplace in Heathman Lodge's two-story lobby seal the wooded retreat ambience. The hotel keeps the vibe local by featuring works by Northwestern artists and artisans and highlighting exercise equipment by Vancouver-based Nautilus in a 24-hour fitness center. The center offers aerobic and strength-training equipment. Inside the Heathman Lodge's atrium is a pool and spa tub. The on-site Hudson's Bar & Grill offers American and Northwestern fare in a casual environment. The hotel offers a 24-hour business center and 6,000 square feet of meeting space.

The Discovery Loop Trail is six miles from the hotel. Perfect for walking, jogging, or biking, the trail winds for about two miles past several historical sights and joins the Waterfront Renaissance Trail at Vancouver Landing along the Columbia River.

"Great place in a great location"

"Heathman Lodge Vancouver"
I booked this hotel for an overnight stay while visiting a friend in Portland. Everything about the room lived up to its rating and I would definitely recommend staying there to anyone looking for a nice, reliable hotel. "Great place in Vancouver"
Interesting but fun place! (enough) safe parking. Housekeeping isn't doing a great job. If you have your room as 'busy' the time they stop by they won't come back the rest of the day but besides that the hotel does well with big rooms and attentive young staff. "Hotel was pretty, service was below average"
The deciding factor to book here was promotion rate on hotels.com. Very nice looking hotel as advertised, but disappointed with service level. Front desk could not find our reservation, and accused us showing up on the wrong date. Eventually we had to spoon feed them the info to get it sorted out - quite mind boggling considering they admit they are […] not busy at all. Booked 2 queen, but they were like 2 doubles. Obviously room was not prep for 4 people, thus request extra towels. Did not receive these items for 30 mins and had to request this twice. The "free" breakfast offer was "dine-in" option only at their restaurant...thus gratuity was extra. Free food was limited to OJ/coffee and muffin. Else it was $3 off any entree. Pretty uninspiring offer considering a lower rated hotel offers continental breakfast with waffles, omelette, sausages etc. Location was reasonable as its between I5 and I205 and short trip to Portland. Good we checked out first thing Easter Sunday as they were setting up a banquet / event of some sort and there were 3-5 dining tables (fully setup) in front of our 2nd level room. Seriously?
