"Decent Value"
For the money I paid I felt it was not a bad value. These are my only criticisms: The fitness room was pitiful. There was 1 exercise bike, a set of dumbells and a weight bench, that's it. Wondered if the fact that we had a discounted rate factored into the location of the room-- next to the elevator. One sink didn't work, the heat/cool fan was hinky, the phone had to be adjusted so it would work... just a bunch of little things. "Pool and spa/Breakfast"
When I book a hotel, I look for pool and spa, gym, and free breakfast. My kids and I look forward to the pool and spa at the end of the long day. The pool heater was broken making it freezing cold, and the spa was shut down due to a broken filter. I would not have booked the hotel if I had known this. "Great location easy access"
I wasn't impressed with the check in at the front desk the manager was rude and I felt our wait was ridiculous. The first night we requested extra pillows and they said sure we finally went to sleep 2 hrs later no pillows ever showed. The next day our maid service didn't happen until 3 in the afternoon so we had to spend a day with a dirty room. I brought my wife with my while I was working in town. When we opened up the bed there was hair in it, when called down to have the front desk bring new sheets but she said she could change it so they dropped the sheets off at the door (not my job to change sheets but whatever) when we took the sheets off the bed the pillow top also had hair on it, […] we called for a new one of those as well but they never brought one to our room. :/ so the whole week we just felt like our bed was dirty. I chose this hotel because of the proximity to the SW Washington Hospital. My daughter was having cancer surgery. On the second night of my stay, I was awakened by the people above me running and stomping with total disregard for the room below them. "In life, you get what you pay for"
We booked two rooms online because of a great low rate offer. The facility is clean, but some of the touches are missing. Customer service from the front desk to the breakfast room is below what most visitors need. On both mornings, even staple items such as yogurt, coffee, and break on the breakfast buffet were out, and replacement either never happened […] or took nearly an hour. "Not a good experience"
When reserving this room I asked not to be placed near a ice machine, elevator or under an air conditioning unit since I'm a light sleeper. I was put next to the pool equipment. We arrived early afternoon so there were rooms still available. We didn't unpack yet and I asked the clerk if she could move us to another room. "Nice with some exceptions"
For the value, it is a nice place. We had a sink that leaked slightly and drained slowly indicating that it was partially plugged. The shower had the same problem and we traveled over the weekend when there was no maintenance person around. Staff was good about it though and apologized for the inconvenience. I traditionally check under the beds to see […] how well things are cleaned and to check at the end of the stay to make sure things are not left behind. Ok this place was not terrible but neither was it great.. Front desk was very friendly and accommodating. Although I booked a double queen I was given a king suite which was not an issue. The room was large and laid out well. We did noticed some stains in the carpet but the room was not dirty by any means. There were 2 old school tube TV's in the room […] which did not work until I unplugged the cable boxes to get them to work. I tried to call the front desk and got no answer. I had to fiddle the boxes to get a clear picture as well. The bed was comfortable and we had a good night sleep. The continental breakfast was ok although I would recommend they do away with the powdered eggs and box gravy and just go with bagels and cereal. They had one employee working the breakfast which was not nearly enough and had one toaster to serve a full room. "Uncomfortable Beds"
We were able to check in early on day of arrival, the only things that was upsetting about that was... it was our anniversary and I wanted to suprise my husband and wine glasses and sparkling cider. Because we checked in early the items were not in room, but I did let the front desk know that we would be gone for a little while and it did not seem like […] they really wanted to take care it. We stayed here two nights. The staff was friendly, but not always available. The room could have been cleaner and furniture needs updated. We had a plumbing problem on the second night and could not get a response from the front desk when we called. We were lucky that we had 2 rooms that night. "About worth the low cost"
The hotel was convenient and relatively clean, worth the discount price we paid. Has no central staircase, only a slow elevator. Hotel staff spent a great deal of time eating guest cookies at the front desk and drinking coffee in the back. Breakfast was good for this price range.
