The Georgetown Inn

This was a great deal and I'm so glad we stayed at the Georgetown Inn for part of our honeymoon trip! When we arrived the front desk staff were so friendly and wanted to talk about our trip and give us directions and recommendations. We stayed in one of the Elizabeth rooms. While small, it was definitely adequate to fit our needs. There was a small […] kitchen area with a sink. The bathroom was clean and had a nice shower head. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well in it. I normally never sleep well in a hotel! There was some noise from the restaurant on one night, but it ended early and I was not bothered. We also weren't bothered much by the noise of the trains in the night even though we faced the track. The absolute best part of this inn is their breakfast that's included with your stay. It's delicious! I particularly liked the apple french toast, but you can't go wrong with any choice. It is so good that other hotels in the area recommend going to the Georgetown Inn for breakfast. They found out we were there for an anniversary trip and upgraded us to a room with hot tub for no more money! We liked the decor, setting, quietness, and breakfast from the in-house restraunt. We give it an A+!!

The girlfriend and I stayed at the Georgetown Inn in July 2011. We definitely recommend it. There was a jacuzzi in our room, the bed linens were very nice, and the staff was wonderful. It's less than 15 miles from Banff.

The hotel staff were very friendly. The room was comfortable. The complementary breakfast was a welcome surprise and money saver. As well as delicious. 3rd time there and will definitely go back.

The room was great, we had the jacuzzi suite. The in house pub was lacking in personality. It seemed like the staff there may have been from another department and were working in the pub because they were required to. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Georgetown Inn. The ladies at the Reception Desk were always cheerful, and did their best to assist us when we asked for directions. The room was quiet and comfortable. We were especially impressed with the delicious breakfast which was included with our stay! Thank you!

Your staff were very kind and professional at all times. I think for the price of the room we were charged you should at least have better quality sheets and not old ones time to throw those ones out and purchase some nice sheets. The hotel is great but it really needs to be cleaned the washrooms in the lounge were disgusting, I couldn't even look down […] on the floor. This was our second time staying at the Georgetown Inn and was perfect. We stayed here for our 4th year anniversary and the rooms made it that much more. The rooms have gas fire places with a cozy sitting area and an amazing view of the mountains in the background. Staff were quite helpfull and they even have boardgames on site which was not expected. […] With regards to the restaurant service and room rates, you pay for what you get and the price is reasonable. Another great feature is the hotel is minutes away from the main street of Canmore so you're close enough to walk, but you don't get to hear all the drunks stumbling home. Looking forward to the next stay when we travel through Canmore again. Read more
