"Mystic. . . Disappointing"
The hotel was okay This is our second time here and there Was a noticeable difference in the up keep of the property. Front door for instance had obviously been kicked in and was not fitting property. My wife and kids couldn't open it was the only one. The dishes in the cupboard had not been washed we had to wash them before we used them. The linen […] on the beds looked as though they had been just pulled up from the last guest who had stayed there. The final piece that bothered me is that the girl at the front office had requested a credit card for a deposit, we had paid for the room in it's entirely a month and a half earlier. I understand the principle of having our credit Card number of file in the event of damage but she processed another $100.00 on our card and told us it would be reviewed at check out and returned if there was no damageM have not Seen it credited back to our card as of yet and believe will not See it again. "Fabulous surroundings but unhappy staff"

The best part about Mystic Springs is the very friendly and happy staff. Unfortunately that is where the positive part of our review must end. When we arrived our room smelled like vomit and it was very run down. We asked if we could move to another room because of the smell were told no because the hotel was full. We didn't believe that the hotel fully […] booked because there was a sign at the front showing "vacancy" and next to no one walking around the hotel. However, the maintenance guy who came to put orange air freshener into the furnace to cover up the smell was friendly as was the guy who came and replaced the T.V. when it wouldn't work Overall we were disappointed that the rooms hadn't been better maintained and while we will stay in Canmore again, we won't be staying at the Mystic Springs. "Will never go back again"
The hotel swimming pool was not anywhere near 30 degrees and we got locked out of our room 3 seperate times because the card reader did not work. This was especially inconvenient when we all came back from the pool and were stuck soak and wet outside. The hotel was quite dirty and in need of some maintenance.
