"Orion Safari Lodge Hotel"
Upon arrival we were estcourted to our room by the receptionist as the porter was nowhere to be found. After inspecting the room we realised the bedside lights weren't working which the receptionist assured us she would have seen to by the maintenance staff - this never happened and after moving furniture and climbing under the bed myself found they […] weren't even plugged in. The bath tub was filthy with sand and dirt left lying at the bottom, they didn't even supply Handy Andy so I could clean it myself. After mentioning this to the receptionist she seemed to not pay any attention at all. The door handle to the bathroom was also missing which left a gaping hole through the door, luckily I don't suffer with flatulence or privacy issues. I then enquired if my package included breakfast to which the receptionist replied that she would check and call me back - I'm still waiting for that call. She did inform me that the cost of breakfast is R110 per head. This shocked me when the following morning I was treated to extremely poor service - I felt a downright sinner for asking for coffee and had to hunt down my own cutlery from the surrounding tables. I was then greeted by extremely sour yogurt (I have sensitive teeth and had to rebrush before eating anything else), rotten tomatoes, icky powdered eggs and the worst tasting, leather-textered bacon subsitute known to man. After which I felt extremely ill. Should I receive a bill for R110 I'll reccommend they look in the bin because thats where most of the meal ended up! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
