"Convenient for Laguardia"

The hotel was surprisingly clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is a bit surprising. It is located in a short alley near the airport. Aircraft fly very low over the hotel as they land. Noise is terrific though there is a hiatus in air traffic through the late night till early morning. A bus stop […] is about a block away making it easy to connect to NYC transit (rail/subway/bus). Restaurants, shops, pharmacy are within walking distance. The room was clean but very small. They could have added about a foot to each side of the room to make it a little more tolerable. We could not both move around at the same time. The hotel was super clean and very close to LaGuardia. 1 block from a bus stop that will take you to the subway and into the city. Staff was very helpful in providing easy directions for using transportation to see NYC. Some airport noise but not very loud. This is a no frills hotel, but was adequate for my needs as I had a very early flight. The front desk personnel were friendly and helpful, and the best part of the stay. The hotel is near the airport which is why we chose it. Rooms were neat and clean but not large. (we didn't care- only needed a place to sleep) Lobby is pristine, front desk personnel are very helpful (printing my boarding pass) and breakfast was more than adequate. It's an OK hotel. The AC in my room would only run on high, so it was either all on or all off. Not a huge deal, but not ideal either. "my experience"
I booked this hotel in the spare of the moment. For the price you pay for considering it's NY, it wasn't bad. Besides, most of the hotels closer to the city were very expensive and sort of already booked out. To be honest, the inn isn't the problem, its the location. First when booking it, i didn't know East Elmhurst is a small little sector of Queens, […] so initially the inn is in Queens. Second, it was just too far out from everything. The subway was too far away;approx a 20 min bus ride. Right outside the inn bus Q19 is available, but bus Q49 is the one that takes you to the subway station which was maybe about 4 blocks away( so much of a hassle). Aside from that, you could take the E or the 7 and others to way ever. the inn is very close to laguardia airport, but far out from jfk. if you are going to stay here, having a car wouldn't be such a bad idea. its such a cute little hotel that when you walk out you question its location. The staff were very great. the cleaning ladies- amazing. the only problem I had was the tv; it wasnt so clear bc we had a basement room.breakfast was good too. i can't say anything bad about the hotel itself, but more so its location in terms of the inconvience of getting too and from the city.we stayed there thurs to sun. we spent most of over Saturday in Times Square, so the last thing we wanted to do is walk some more when we got back to east elmhurst.
