Loved the hotel! Location was perfect for me because my meeting was only 2 miles away. It will be my regular monthly stop when in RI. The exterior is true 1950"s industrial complex. The interior is 50's also, but 2050's. The bed was so great that I kept falling asleep while making a few evening calls. One minor problem was that breakfast food service […] was supposed to start at 7 am. At 7:15 there was still no food staff and I had an 8 am meeting. I *love* the NYLO. It's an old mill that's been converted and the rooms and ambiance suggest a cool mix of the old and new. Always stay here when visiting our RI office, and took the opportunity of doing that before a flight out and a conference in Providence. "Spectacular Affordable Modern Luxury!"
Our experience staying at NYLO Warwick was excellent from beginning to end. We visit family in RI every Christmas and decided that this year, we'd splurge and stay at a hotel rather than sleeping on Grandma's uncomfortable couches...best decision we've ever made! We arrived at about 1 pm and the very friendly staff greeted us and allowed us to check […] in early (we called that morning to request an early check-in). We were immediately very impressed with the design of the building and the interior spaces. There is a very cool book lounge in the lobby, and the bar and deck are absolutely gorgeous! Unfortunately with all of the holiday family obligations, we didn't have any time to enjoy the bar or restaurant, but we did borrow a few books! Our room was just spectacular. The design was modern and industrial, yet warm and comfortable. The king size bed was so so so comfortable and the shower was absolutely amazing. We had a view of the river and it snowed a bit on Christmas morning, which made for a really gorgeous view out of our window! The staff could not have been more accommodating, they brought us extra towels when we needed them and toothbrushes when we realized we'd left them at home! Really, it was just an unbelievably positive experience and I am dying to stay there again. The facilitly is decorated in a modern industrial sort of way and overlooks a river next to the old Fruit of the Loom factory. The bed felt like we were floating on a cloud. "Hotel Perfection"
My daughter and I ended a 2 week tour of New England with a 2 night stay at Providence NYLO. After bed and breakfasts, mountain cabins, seacost inns, and motels, NYLO was a category of its own. Hip, modern loft style boutique with the coolest touches.....eco friendly......kitchy and unexpected....we loved everything from the friendly helpful staff, […] to the cool architecture and amenities and the hanging basket chairs surrounding the lobby backgammon and scrabble games. The pillows and bed were the best we have ever had, the shower was perfect, and the room was remarkably well insulated from outside noise. If I had to change anything, it would be to make the interior AC unit a little quieter, but that was really not a big deal at all. Special note: We checked out the day before Superstorm Sandy was supposed to hit. Went to the airport, and I got on our scheduled, ticketed United flight but my daughter was bumped from the flight. (Don't get me ranting about United Airlines AGAIN or we will be here all day. ) So my daughter, now stranded in Providence with Sandy coming and the airport closing, called NYLO. They immediately sent a shuttle to pick her up at the airport and checked her back in at our Hotels.com rate. They helped her get a train ticket to Boston, a cab to the station, and a shuttle ticket to Boston Logan from the train station where she took 3 re-routed flights to get to Houston 4o hrs later.
